Avast Anti-virus is stopping me from using the mod Item Randomizer v6.8.  When I try to extract files or move the extracted files to the BGII - SoA folder, Avast has a fit.  It suspects the file ssl.exe is infected with the Evo-gen (?) virus.  Does anyone else have this problem?  Is this a false positive?  Is the ssl.exe file OK to use?

Probably a false positive. My Antivirus doesn't say anything.

I tested randomiser-v68.exe and you are right my Avast also claims it has virus but i believe it to be false positive too like tuxr says.

 

I don't believe that Wisp would spread any kind of virus in his mods.

Thanks for the quick replies.

 

I have been around but lost in my game.  I was using BWP v11.3.  BG1 works fine for most of the game, but BG2 was a mess.  After three attempts at trying to get BG2 to work, I gave up.  I now have downloaded the latest mods and I am rebuilding my game with BWP 13.0.5.

 

61 mods that I use were upgraded so I hope many of the problems I had with BG2 will be fixed.  I expect it will take me another week to get the BGT game working with all the mods I have selected.  You will probably hear from me then.

You do know that you should disable your anti-virus program during installation of BWP in order to avoid potential problems?
