While I see a lawful good pc being deeply saddened about killing the drow-hunting party, they don't plan to do so and are merely defending themselves, so I don't think it constitutes an alignment problem.

While I wouldn't ever encourage you to use fourth wall breakage for the real version, as long as the optional component is clearly marked I don't see how it would do any harm and would probably check it out due to curiosity sometime.

However, as I don't see much use to it and don't think you should put in that much effort, so I voter "only if it's easy to code" but I don't think it would be that hard as you have a working version.

Story line isn't the only reason, it would also unbalance gameplay.

I'm currently running the big picture (non-weidu) with a lot of other mods. I know how the weidu versions of these mods would be supperior if I was doing a fresh install, but is it worth reinstalling everything now, and will it cause any problems?

If someone built a giant underground city below, say, New York, would that mean the laws of America shouldn't (in theory) apply to said giant underground city?

Yes, but this would be the only example of an underground city and the United States government would decide It US territory and no one would have a way to argue otherwise. The underdark contains countless cities that have existed throughout recorded history and individual areas of the underdark have defined themselves from the surface nations that correspond above them. Also, the city under New York would be made up entirely of people who left the US surface, alternativly isn't skullport's an entirely different race?

I don't think you could mix and match dual wielded ranged weapons, but I think you could have a "set" of weapons that goes in your main hand, with the effect of magically creating a weapon (or at least the image of one) in the other.

Kotor 1 was made by Biowar, Kotor 2 was Obsidian, which is mostly former Black Isle members.

sorry, I meant to say Edwin was single-class, as you had commented on all the mages being multi-class.  And he gets two spells per level in addition to the one for specializing,I'd say two spells per level are worth the loss of the divintation school.  

Happy party is an ease of use component (available at weidu.org)

Edwin's a pure-class mage and gets to extra spells per level with no penalties, how is that not decent.  I could mention mods with some of the others, but apparently thats not appreciated for some inexplicable reason.

Although I actually feel it weakens some plots, bringing party members back makes the game much more enjoyable imo.

Am I the only one who finds alignment restrictive to rp'ing. By all means, if a Paladin does something against their code make them fall, but other characters may consider that the right thing to do, but thats different. Too many computer/video game rpg's seem to focus on the struggle between good and evil in the main character. I'd like to decide upon a character and do what I see fit for them, without worrying if I'm being judged as good or evil enough. Yes you can powergame through a game with no alignment, but you can do it with alignment too, especially non-static alignment, and a character that cannot change just sucks.
