Can somebody provide links/material for this ?

1-20 - 18
21-25 - 19
25-27 - 20
28-29 - 21
30 - 32 - 22
33 - 34 - 23
35 - 36 - 24
37+ - 25
This table is based upon the strength of giants in the MM. The 37+ - 25 is based upon the most holy thing in AD&D; that a titan has 25 (divine) strength. A Titan has 37 strength in D&D MM.
But, I can strongly recommend simply purchasing the Monstrous Manual for AD&D. It's actually a very good book.

One other possiblity is to find a copy of the conversion booklet that Wizards published when 3rd edition came up. That contained extensive notes about converting from 2nd to 3rd, and I think the reverse would be quite practical. I believe it's available as a free download from the Wizards web site.
Back from the brink.
Like RPGs? Like Star Wars? Think combining the two would be fun? Read Darths and Droids, and discover the line "Jar Jar, you're a genius".
These, in the day when heaven was falling,
The hour when earth's foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.

@Grunker: I actually own the Monstrous Manual for AD&D. But there won't be always mention of attributes like Strenght and such. Example: the Polar Bear. In 3rd Edition it has STR 27. But if you check the Monstous Manual you won't find its correspective.
@Bluenose: the interesting links found at that website you suggested are all broken. I'll check Wizards' web site.

Right, in that matter you're right. It takes a whole lot guessing (I usually look at the damage bonus and calculate my way forward or somesuch).

It should be noted that AD&D's strength charts really work best for human-like creatures; non-humanoids don't always make much sense when shoehorned into it. It may be better to assign specific aspects of strength to creatures individually, as you need them.
