Missing Dawn Priest

I'm having fun playing BG through with some mods and ran into a problem with the DSotSC mod. I've finished the Forest of Lost Souls, handed over the amulet, took the letter to the smith, and had a guy meet me outside the smithy who told me to meet this Dawn or Morning whatever in the Burning Wizard. As I understand it, he is supposed to give me the Dragon quest. Just one problem. No priest in the Burning Wizard. Or any other of the inns. Does anyone know his creature code so I can import him in and get the quest? Or maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?
Thanks,
Shonaii

Just for posterity sake, could you go back to the Burning Wizard and hit X on your keyboard to get the AR location number, and then post the corresponding .bcs file here please. I'd like to see why Jarent didn't spawn as he should have.Nevermind. Found it. For posterity, his creature code is "Jarent". I consoled him in and he immediately gave me the quest. Thanks all for this great community!

You're playing a Tutu game aren't you? You might want to report this problem at the forum for the Tutu version of DSotSC so they can take a closer look at what is happening with your game. Basically, it looks like your backup version was OK, and whatever mod introduces Magnus into your game destructively overwrote your _AR3307.bcs file.Sure! I found 3, so here's all of them. I named them according to where I found them. 2 were in the BG1AdventuresDS folder and 1 in the override folder. Also, I have several mods loaded, DS, Stone of A, BG Adventures, TGreyC, Forge, Vault, EaseofUse. I'm new at this, so I don't remember which order I installed in and that might be the problem. That's why I didn't ask for troubleshooting help. I figured it was something I did.
Thanks again!

I think this is just plain BG1, as there is no Tutu DSotSC as yet (it is currently in progress). You're playing a Tutu game aren't you? Magnus is from BG1 Adventure (also the mod's author) - this should already be fixed for the next version so it doesn't overwrite. Also, there is a special version already existing for use with DSotSC - the original poster probably did not have that.

OK, this thread explained why this issue occurred, where the BGAdventures mod has overwritten the AR3307.bcs file. According to this post, this is the file you use if you have BGT. My questions are 1) Is this also compatible with the regular BG1? and 2) the link just opens a text post; Do you copy this onto a notepad file, save it, change it into a .bcs file, and put it in your override folder? And finally, is there a way to keep Magus there as well as to write in Jarent as well?

Right-click and save as "all files" type to save as a bcs. If you use NI you can copy and paste the pertinant bcs blocks into the bcs file in your game so both contents occur. If you're playing a BGT game place this bcs file in your override directory.please someone help,i'm going crazy

I did find a work-around for anyone who is interested. First off, if you bought any items from Magus, sell them back to him, otherwise they will be lost in the game. What you must do is then is step outside the Burning Wizard and save the game. Exit the game and uninstall the BGAdventures mod. When you go back inside, Jarent will be there and give you the quest. Notice that Magus is still there, but he won't talk to you. Next, step outside again, save and extit game, and re-install BGAdventures. Go back inside the Burning Wizard and you will see that Jarent is still there and he will talk to you. Buy back your stuff from Magus, and then continue on with your game.
