1. Are you looking for original art, photoshopped art or a portrait edit?

No preference, but it should look good small, i.e. 38x60

2. Male or female? What race, age and character class, possibly alignment?

Female human swashbuckler, somewhere well past the age where a woman starts lying about it, but not quite at the age where she's proud of it. Figure somewhere between 40 and 60.

3. Describe the character's features (face, eyes, hair, clothing, etc)

She should look a bit weather-beaten, and have traces what might once have been beauty, or something close. Not a lot of makeup on this one, she should look natural, and happy to be so.

4. What color preferences do you have (skin, eyes, hair, armor, clothing, etc)?

She should be tanned, and wearing red. After that, I've no preference.

5. Would you like a weapon, a spell effect or an item to be shown in the portrait? If so, what kind?

Not necessary, but if you've got a work in progress that features leather armor or a scimitar, I wouldn't reject it.

6. What kind of a background would you like?

No preference

7. What kind of an expression would you like the character to have? Dangerous, happy, serene, mysterious, playful, sad, etc etc?

She's happy with her life and what she's made of it. She's confident and just a bit saucy.

8. Do you have a portrait you would like to be used as a model/reference picture (for pose, expression, looks, colors, etc...)? Post it here if you have!

Nope.

9. Should the artist post the portrait here, or PM or email it to you?

Whichever works for you.

10. Any deadlines?

Not really. More than two weeks, less than two years. If I have to release the mod without a portrait, or with a placeholder, them's the breaks. I'd still like something unique for her someday.

11. What game and what mod is this for?

BG2

12. Anything else you'd like to mention?

I only need the 38x60 size for the mod, but I wouldn't say no to the larger sizes, if it's easier to work big.

This is for the next version of Homeward Bound, which will offer the PC a way to send NPCs home from Brynnlaw, and therefore open up party slots for other NPCs that are available in Spellhold or the Underdark.

Eh... bummer. I thought you were writing my dream NPC for a minute. Dream #2 anyway, right after the half-dryad/succubus...

I wenched about a bit with PSP and some source material I had sitting around... nothing professional grade, since I'm not really an artist. But if you only need the small portraits, one of these should work, or someone else can touch it up more.

The bitmaps are linked inline, so right-click and Save Target rather than Save Image to get them. The tart on the left probably suits your description better. Maybe she could use a few more wrinkles, but there's not a whole lot of detail you can squeeze into those 38x60 images.
