Heya

Looking at the amount of great feedback you got, I wanna play this mod in my next BWP8 playthrough :D I've downloaded the package and saw in the readme about the separate "Worldmap component" (more on that below)

Anyway, first things first, where do you recommend I install TotDG?? Any particular mods I need to install after/before it?? I reckon it should be installed in the MINI MODS section, but you da creator, hence you da boss

I'll be installing Miloch's Aurora mod too, and he suggested installing Aurora at the end, even after SCS for the item randomizations to work. I hear there's crossmod between the two mods, so is there any particular order of installing either to get max crossmod?? :P

Component 3: Add Deep Gardens to the Worldmap

This component adds location of the Deep Gardens to the worldmap.wmp. DG will be marked on the map while your presence on the mod locations. This component is recommended, but if someone had problems when adding areas to the worldmap in the previous versions, now it is possible to skip this part. To install it, you must have installed the mod itself.

I don't understand what would happen if I don't install this :P It says it updates the worldmap to include "Deep Gardens" but shouldn't it be updated anyway? Otherwise, how do you get to the place? :o

And major question ... Is this compatible with the BGT-Worldmap mod??

Kinda long post :P sorry about that :D

Cheers and thanks for any answers,
Lol

I am glad that you want to play with BG2 with my mod!
Aurora's Shoes has a little crossmod. Nothing really big, but I think any kind of crossmod is good ;) The new version of Xan would have the crossmod, but... well... this version wasn't released yet. Probably Kulyok is still working on something or someone is finishing the translation. I really don't know, since I dont want to bother Kulyok. When new version of her mod is ready I am sure she will announce it :)

About installation order... It would be good to install NPC Flirt Pack after TotDG... however since Liam helped me with one thing I think it doesn't really matter now.

The Worldmap component doesnt work like that :D From Goverment to the new locaton we are sent by a spell. If we install this component the Deep Gardens will appear as a separated location on map. If you won't install this component, on Worldmap it will be marked as you were still in Goverment location. It's all. It is a kind of cosmetic change. In past this was a core part because scripts worked strange then... I think scripts of Goverment D. were still active becase it was marked that we are still there. I think I would install this component if it's possible.

I am not sure how does the Worldmap mod work becasue I really never worked/plaed with it. My mod update the existing Worldmap.wmp so if worldmap mod was installed before and it changed the original worldmap, my mod probably will update the one from worldmap mod I think, but still I would ask some modders who did play or did work with worldmap mod before... Well, still to make sure you can skip the component 3... I think it is one of the ways. If you would do that I would be glad if you report if everything was ok. I tried it and everything worked fine, but I would like to know if it was ok on other computers :)

changed NPC FP from "before TotDG" to "after installing TotDG"... But probably it doesn't matter

Ohhhhh, so that's what it does :P Might as well skip the component then

Anyway, I've added TotDG to the install.bat right after Jarno's Cerberus Mod  (seems to be just the right place :P)

1. NPC Flirt packs, BG2 Xan etc before TotDG
2. SCS and Aurora mod after TotDG

I look forward to playing it soon (after a certain G3 spell mod gets released :D) and won't forget to comment on them (not from a roleplaying perspective though ... but a powergamer's )

. NPC Flirt packs, BG2 Xan etc before TotDG

As I said it's not a need. Well, Xan may be installed after TotDG. I usually install all NPC mods after quests. I made a mistake... NPC FP after... but to be honest... in this the present version of TotDg it really doesn't matter (thx again, Liam ^^) So you really don't have to bother yourself with that. Just enjoy the game :)
