Lately I've been receiving multiple blue screens of death for the past 6 months. Everytime of which I have had to reformat whenever I receive them and can not manually fix them. I am under the impression that this happens everytime I install the Big Picture Megamod with the countless mods I've downloaded to make a large BG Experience. I have never actually completed the megamod primarly because my computer tends to go out before I can complete it! I seem to only experience this whenever I install the megamod. I pinpointed the location to the megamod primarily because it is the only time I receive these blue screens of death which seem to be mishaps in the system regestry files. After about a month without any play of BG/BG2/ToB , I decided to give it a shot and install it with the megamod again. Low and behold the next day I start getting the blue screens of death again, when I never received them for the month with no BG.

I was wondering if someone can help me try to fix this issue as I am 95% sure it happens when I use the megamod. Could someone point out to me which mods do not access the system regestry and what is safe? It could be possible that one of the mods holds a virus I am not sure. But I really want to check out the new content that the community has to offer. =\

Well, the only known and still bugged mods are all in the eXpert install... so do not make one!

And if that's not the case, then we need to go to the specifics, on what exactly happened, what you had installed and what actions were taken to make those crashes to happen.
- What's your system like, where you installed the game into... and how does the install deviate from the default Tactics install ? (Actually there is no such a thing, but please try...)
- What did you do exactly in the game, does the crash always happen in the same place, did you have an character AI's, items, NPCs, etc that could do this

And one good way is to detect number of problems is to open up the BiG World Debug.txt(and use the find -functions to look for errors)... and if you cannot make heads or tails of it, upload it into this thread...

Provide the textual contents of your baldur.err file in the case of crashes. Also it sounds like your install is rather old ("for the past six months"?) - it helps to have the latest fixes and everything as suggested by the BWP.
