Not bad. I think the colour was better (not the nose) on the first Imoen though. Otherwise the hair looks a bit greyish.

What kind of tablet do you use? I've got a macally and it sucks (or maybe I do heh).

Using an AIPTEK a4 tablet. Every bit as good as a wacom for 1/3 the price £110. Excellent kit. Yeah, actually the more saturated version looks better now I look at it. Impossible to make a portrait from scratch like this without one

Even Imoen probably shouldn't be smiling when she's hurt/dying... something more like :o and/or :crying: heh.

Methinks she needs eyelashes or something, I dunno...

Yeah, tbh the damaged versions were after thoughts. Ideally, I would do a total repaint with a different expression. I tried to change her cheek creases and forehead creases to look more like wincing that joy but it doesn't work too great. It takes alot of time to make one of these tho, or maybe I'm slow cos it's new to me lol.
I'm quite impressed with my efforts so far for only my 3rd and 4th attempts. You don't wanna see the first 2 hehehe

I don't know how the damaged portraits actualy work in BG (this red bar rising up according to the damages), so I couldn't speak about implementation.

But yet, in order to save some time, perhaps you could try and use the already existing BG1/BG2 portraits?

Also, I can't help but think that you probably could reuse some of your "wound" layers according to similar shapes of specific portraits. For instance, whenever Imoen had the same location for her eyes than (let's say) Jaheira, you could possibly use the same "black eye" layers for both.
If feasible, this would save your time too...

Anyway, I personaly find the idea fresh and funny.
Nothing proves it not.
