I know that there is a Fishing for Trouble "compatibility hack" which somehow adds FFT areas to the modded Worldmap (as mentioned here). But I'm curious if anyone has actually tried this and if FFT is indeed generally compatible with a mega-mod installation, or if there are other issues that will pop up instead?

The reason I'm asking this here instead of the FFT forum is that Yovaneth, the mod's creator, has explicitly expressed having no interest in compatibility issues (at least with mega-mods). So I thought I'd pose the question here and see if anyone has played/tested this together with a large mega-mod install?

I'm preparing to start a new BGT playthrough and I was very excited to see that it may indeed be possible to include FFT in my BWP install this time around.

It is essentially compatible if you add it to the worldmap. I forget if the latest version includes that capability or not.

I can confirm it is compatible. In fact, if you look at my "help me im a newb" thread, I listed about 120 mods I installed all at once. The install went great, only thing having trouble was the txtmusic mod.

Well, things are a little more complex : the fact that you can install two mods without error DO NOT MEAN that they will work together !
So, yes, you can install Fishing for Trouble in a Big World... but I think the question is : will this mod work as intended ?

I only start this mod once and play the beginning only with only a few strange things (a little bug, and other things that seems to be the author choice...). In all case, everything was documented on the mod's forum.

Hehe yes, I was careful in choosing my words, I guess not enough  . I meant compatible as in installing -- not working ><.

For the most part, FFT adds its own areas, its own creatures and its own quests in said areas, so as I said, it should be compatible with other mods which will not mess with its areas. In theory, some other mod could muck something up but I really think not - by and large FFT uses its own resources with its own prefix (ys) and all other good coding conventions.
