Oh, I think BWS doesn't need a forum. If it's me, I'd through everything in 1-3 topics.
In fact, this one is pretty big, but kind of always fits. But I tend to read all posts in the megamod forum if it sounds like it would be related to something I'm involved in/I can help out.

It's just that I remembered having mostly BWP-related problems here that Leonardo needs to know, errors and such.

That's fine, but posting everything in seperate posts, rather than trying to re-use existing posts, would definitely exceed your 1-3 topics limit, and would just confuse the hell out of everyone, myself included ...so I guess I am just going to have keep right on posting suggestions and observations on BWP and BWS right here in this post :) ...

Please post in this topic only messages regarding the BWS installation order and installation procedure with the use of the install.bat. Regarding the BWS setup please use another thread. Messages in this forum are addressed to me, even if they are often answered by Dabus. Messages regarding the BWS setup are exclusively addressed to Dabus and his baby. I don't want always to sift the whole topic for relevant infos.

@Lollorian

Thanks for your Lols_BWPFixpack_11.3.7z. I only found it now by pure chance between all that misplaced stuff.

@Mad Mate:

Oh I see :doh:

Damn you kids and your new fangled technologies :D

@Leonardo: :cheers:

Removing the attachment now. (Will now have to account for the stuff Mad Mate pointed out in my version though :unsure:)

Installpack and Fixpack are updated to v11.3.1 now. I'm happy that I'm able to upload as SHS again!

Hello Leonardo.

About the ENGLISH Textpack, Haendlermod.tp2.patch still lacks a "v".

-VERSION ~1.1~ -> -VERSION ~v1.1~

BWP appears to currently lack full logging, ie: there it does not seem to log errors and warnings. - I had a whole load of critical warnings displayed last night and now, today, I find the only log that was produced was BiG World Debug.txt, which details none of the errors or warnings.

You can look in the normal debug-files while it's not working.

You're right, - in BWS I found that errors were normally in the main installer log file, not the .debug files, but it is the other way round with BWP. - Thanks.

Na, it's normally in the BiG World Debug.txt. It's just a little tee-problem. We'll see if we can get this fixed. ;)

Test Person, if you want log like before, open "install.bat" in BiG World Installpack and change:

:Install_Normal
Setup-%~1.exe --language %2 --skip-at-view --noautoupdate  --no-exit-pause --force-install-list %~3 --logapp

to

:Install_Normal
Setup-%~1.exe --language %2 --skip-at-view --noautoupdate  --no-exit-pause --force-install-list %~3 --logapp | %M%

Jup. But reporting errors will also not work anymore since tee always replaces weidus errror-code. You could replace the code for that with some findstring though... then again, having prompts.tra that edit the default may/would screw you.

Okay, - well these are some other notes I have made in the process of cleaning up the install process and debugging things. - I have tried to keep them relevant to this thread:

The setup and .tp2 files are incorrectly named for the Auror Kit, and need to be renamed to Setup-Auror.exe and Setup-Auror.tp2 in order for the BWP installer to recognise it. - As far as I can tell, so far, renaming the .exe and .tp2 do not cause issues with the installation of the mod ..and, yes, I know that this is probably something the modder should correct.

Both Ghareth NPC and Turnabout drop an ar6200.baf file into the main installation directory, with one overwriting the other.

Several mods also include utilities to facilitate installation (eg: oggdec.exe, tisunpack.exe, and WeiDU.exe), and these utilities can easily end up overwriting more recent versions of the same file, which will adversely affect most BWP and BWS installs. - The latest version of WeiDU is a linked download, but could oggdec.exe and tisunpack.exe be bundled with the installpack to prevent version incompatibilites and inconsistencies?

In order to get the installer to play nice with Tortured Souls (for BP) it seems to be necessary to modify the link.list file entry, like so:

TS-BP=Tortured Souls TS

Test Person, you don't have to change anything for Auror Kit, cause installation don't start for other reason. Auror Kit and res_fixer are missing a line in Tra.txt, and yeslicknpc is misnamed.

Add these lines to Tra.txt in BiG World Installpack and all 3 mods will install:

yeslicknpc=En-0
res_fixer=En-0
AurorKit=En-0

Thank you Leonardo, you make BWP better with every new version!!!

I have few minor suggestions:

Big World Installpack:

-bring back Cespy Audio fix

-add " | %M%" to "iwditemfix", "parting", "Innate_Fix" and "poison_effect_supplement" so they get logged.

Big World Fixpack:

-setup-iwditemfix.tp2 is missing

-Yeslick and TOA fixes are all fixed in 1.1 and 2.4 versions

-Morituri Kit don't install cause of brackets in 8th line of Setup-Morituri.tp2

-Gwendolyne fixed some animations in this thread: http://www.shsforums...-thing-axe-bug/

Thank you again! Wonderfull work, You, Dabus, Loll...

Thanks, again. - I know there were problems with some of those, so I will implement those suggestions and see what happens.

All of your suggestions above are now included in BWP Installpack v11.3.2 except this one:

... but could oggdec.exe and tisunpack.exe be bundled with the installpack to prevent version incompatibilites and inconsistencies?

As far as I know there are not any troubles. Once there was a update for both of them included in BWP v9. However Lollorian told me:

updating the tisunpack/oggdec's is NOT a good idea
u8232 You see, there are 2 versions of oggdec
    •    v1.0 - which can use wildcard characters (eg: oggdec *.ogg)
    •    v1.9.6 - which CANNOT use wildcard characters
So, if all the oggdec's were updated to 1.9.6, any mods that used v1.0 (*.ogg) in their .bat's would not compile their files and you'll get missing sounds (it'll also look like the installation took MUCH less time, but in fact, no sounds were compiled, so that's why it was faster ) See, this is the major problem I removed all the oggdec stuff from the biffmeister

more worse, existing files are corrupted this way.

Hey, I've got a problem with the install hanging up on "processing fixes for CtB". I can post my debug if you so desire. I know I'm not being impatient, I have a very nice gaming computer and I left it overnight so I ruled that out. I've tried fresh installs a couple of times and such. It's with a Standard BWP install. Any thoughts?
