Installation hangs up when trying to copy TotSC movies

I've been battling with this problem all day and I can't come up with a solution. I'm really tired and I hope someone here might've came across this problem before.
After making clean installs of BG1+TSoC+patch and BG2+ToB+patch, I run Setup-BGT-Prep.exe. This process works fine, and I enter the next program and thereafter start to copy files from BG1. When the turn comes to the TotSC movies, it just hangs up there and nothing happens.
I tried entering the TotSC CD disc into the CD drive but that didn't do anything.
I'll attempt to reinstall everything tomorrow, but I'm kind of disappointed to have wasted the whole day on this project. So what can be the issue here? Any ideas?

When you installed both BG1 and TotSC, did you do a full install? This is the only way to have the movies copied to your hard drive so BGT can find them. BGT will not copy them from the CD-ROM.
Yes, I have followed all the steps necessary for the install according to http://mirror.spellh...u/BGTReadme.htm.
I installed everything once again, and I'm still getting the problem with the installer hanging up when "Importing movies from Baldur's Gate:TotSC".
Well, I'm not exactly sure of if it's hanging up or just processing the files very slow. The display doesn't show anything and it's just stuck there for a long time, whereas when installing everything else it clearly showed what was going on.

This time I downloaded images of BG1 + TotSC, both EU versions, and then patched to the latest UK version along with the DirectX patch. Let's say I had a little success - as I this time came a little longer in the process than before.
I actually managed to get three to four lines past the "Importing movies from TotSC" sign.
It seemed like it was about to process BG1\movies\MOVIECD4.BIF, just before the computer hung up again.
As far as logic tells me, MOVIECD4.BIF is actually not from TotSC but from CD4.
Either way, since I now have replaced my original disks with iso images, I think we can count out the possibility of the BIF-files being damaged somehow by scratches on the original CD's.
My OS is english (albeit being a swede) Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2, Version 2002, according to the "General" tab on My Computer > System Properties.

Also check if you made FULL install with ALL movies included. If not - copy that bif from your CD to Movies folder in BG1 dir. And remove ALL BG related CD's from cd-drives(put some music in

I often type on shitty keyboards and in dark places. So dont mind my typos. PLEASE.

The EU versions of BG1 + TotSC that you *ahem* downloaded, are there only three image files? As much as I cannot condone the 'downloading' of games, I just need to know if you actually installed the 5512 patch on top of the Original Saga, which you shouldn't!

(And, yeah, pirates sell TDD copies in Moscow. Same price as TOB. I don't like TOB, much, except for graphics and Alianna's true story, but, um, I think it is actually worth more.)
So, don't condemn us outright, OK? Like Yoshimo, we simply have no choice.

how is it possible that games like Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2 had not been distributed in Russia ? I don't mean to say that you're not saying the truth, mind you. It's just that I can't understand why they didn't make it to the videogames market...

If someone in our beloved country of bears, snow and beautiful women still need a copy- ask Bioware and PM me

P.S.: I had same discussion on few official forums of other games, which are not shipped in Russia. The problem is that piracy level here is so high that its useless to ship non-online games. Also if games are released here they usually lack 3 things:
1. Normal translation(it ALWAYS sux)
2. Patches(they are never done due to translation and problems that it brings)
3. NORMAL english language( coz not many will buy game for 30$ here and our publishers publish em in jewel boxes for like 6-10$, but it destroys any chance the game will be published in english hehe)
End of story.
EDIT:
And here is small list of games taht were never released or sold in Russia(as far as i know):
BG1, BG2, PST, IWD1(IWD2 was published and even in english. no idea why that happened. unique episode), HoMM 4, Majesty(and expansion) and MANY others.

There's some hope that 1C will release it this year, though. Bet you a dollar that translation will suck again... Sigh.
