With the exception of the obvious male/female love interests, it sounds like Scipio and I have frighteningly similar playing styles.

The speed boots are my biggest indulgence. I have NO patience for how slowly the characters walk. Especially when they're heading down Aran Linvail's hallway for the 3rd time.

My latest BG1 PC (He's a real miser) has amassed a fortune of almost 4000 gold BEFORE hitting the mines. Yes, I saved every dagger, sword, helmet, etc. that I could find. Half the time the party could barely move. It's only hard times for those who are careless with their money!

That is definitely one of my shortcomings. I get to the Pocket Plane with about 50 of those teeny-weeny healing potions I've been saving since the Irenicus dungeon "in case we need them, guys!"

I'm also great at buying up Arrows of Dispelling and constantly forgetting to use them against enemy mages.

Heh! I've played Hard Times exactly the same way. But still, easy as it was to work around, I'm rather enjoying the roleplay aspect of it. It adds the same kind of feeling that the SCSII component that takes away the party's gear in Spellhold does. A must on all further installs.
