Hey all Im new to the forums but ive been playing Baldurs Gate 2 for a long time. I just got a new laptop a couple of months ago and im having a problem doing a full install of BG 2.

specs:

TOSHIBA Satellite L355D
AMD Turion™ X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 2.10 Ghz
3 Gb RAM
32-Bit mode
250 GB HD
ADI Radeon 3100 Graphics Card

Everytime i try to do a full installation, i get about 46% into the install and then i get hit with a "cyclic redundancy check" error. ive installed this game more times than i can remember and ive never gotten this error before. Can anyone help me??? Thanks.

Cyclic redundancy probably indicates a defect in your game disks, or possibly your hard drive (yes, new computers can ship with bad drives :(). You may be able to tell by looking at your disks if they're scratched. Either way, you should be able to do a scandisk on both the CD/DVD drive and the hard drive to check for errors.
