Question about type of damage

Does anybody know what monster does which kind of damage (slashing, piercing, blunt)? Is there a table somewhere?
Specifically, I'm considering the Circus Quest, where you find the girdle of Piercing, and I wonder if this girdle will be any help against Trolls or Vampires?

You can check out the Creature Lister in my signature for a table that gives you the weapons at least. It doesn't list damage type. It doesn't list damage type, which I guess could be added, but some creatures can switch from one weapon to another (and therefore switch damage types potentially).

I downloaded your table, it's handy and I understand the problem if they switch weapons, but is there yet another table giving the damage details for the weapons, such as TROLL01?
(OT: Just perusing the table, I see that Melissan is lawful good?! I guess the designers didn't want a Paladin to detect her evil.)

You can look them up with a game editor (DLTCEP or Near Infinity). I'll see if I can add a damage type column if I remember. I think I also wanted to add proficiency at one point, to check against the creatures' proficiencies.I downloaded your table, it's handy and I understand the problem if they switch weapons, but is there yet another table giving the damage details for the weapons, such as TROLL01?
A lot of alignments in the game are just plain wrong. Probably came from cloning creature files and not bothering to change every field. The BG2 Fixpack has a component that adjusts some of these, but there are probably still creatures with wacky alignments even after installing that.(OT: Just perusing the table, I see that Melissan is lawful good?! I guess the designers didn't want a Paladin to detect her evil.)
She'd have to fail her saving throw vs. spells, which would be difficult but I think not impossible.Does the Know Aligment spell work on her though? I don't remember.

Thanks, I downloaded Near Infinity and I'm discovering a new world, up to now confined to Shadowkeeper...
