Hello,

My latest attempt to install many mods, following BWP 9.4 instructions, has surprisingly resulted in all item descriptions (and some item names, and kit names) being replaced with bits of various dialogue. I say surprisingly because I don't know what happened differently in this run, other than omitting a couple mods from previous attempts. Attached is the weidu.log contents. The game plays (at least it starts out playable), but this issue is annoying. Is there a way to fix it, or do I need to start from the beginning again, and reinstall everything?

Also, some kits that I installed got replaced by other kits (many that I don't even want, because Paladins of Faerun installs all kits that it includes, rather than letting me choose whether or not to install them).

Thanks,
Eric

Are you using an old saved game or something?

Nope. Started a new mp game, importing two characters (one is supposed to have the Bladesinger kit).

Strangely, at the end of some of the mod installs, I'd see lines that read like "No translation for @2. Continuing despite error" and then weidu-mac would report that the mod was installed successfully. I don't recall having seen that before. I must have done something wrong, or forgot to do something prior to installing, but I can't think of what that might have been, because I thought I did everything the same way I always do.

Thanks,
Eric

Most of the items with codes that begin with "wa" or "wa2" show correct names and item descriptions, but all other items have either a messed up description, or a messed-up name and description. An exception to this is the Robe of Larloch (Robe of Vecna), which has both entries messed up.

Another strange thing I don't yet know how to correct is that, after I start the game and select single- or multiplayer, I see a black screen with a Return To Trademeet v1.4 graphic in the middle. This is clearly not in the override, the data, or the cache/data folder, as I've restored critical files and folders to a clean install, but this screen that appears remains from a previous install run, when I tried to get RTT to install (that was two or more installs ago).

Still hoping this installation isn't ruined, but I'll start over if I have to. What's another week, right? ;)

Thanks,
Eric

This installation is officially a failure :( One of the joinable NPCs dismissed herself from the party after we wiped out Illyich and pals, as though I had asked her to leave...but I didn't! I'm gonna nuke it and start over again, restoring critical files and folders (data and override), then install the mods again and see what happens.
