It's probably because of your version of IWD being poorly cracked, like length of .exe file changed... If this is the case, try to patch IWD while it still has it's original .exe, if possible

I suppose it's not the case unfortunately...the original .exe is approximately 4.7M which lies on my IWDII and the cracked exe measured just 10KB.


Oh,there is an alternate method,proposed by my firend,it's said that "If I have the .reg about IWDII installation an immit it to the registerlist will make upgrade patch work"


Nowhere can I get .reg file unless some guys send it to my e-mail box,could you act this obliging man?

I took a look at my IWDII's readme,it's v2.0 and publicised in July 30th, 2002,does it match yours version?

By the way, when you installed this game, was there any "real" cd-rom in your computer? I means if the cd-rom data cable not be removed,a few kinds of game installed from daemon tools may cause truble...

daemon tools is a visual cd-rom driver which allow us using .iso .cue or other mirror files as real disks,I don't have ?real? IWD II(Forgive me bacause I'm in china,it's hard to purchase legal American CD,as you konw),but there are its ISO files in my hardware,so i must use daemon tools or some visual cd-rom driver else to intall.

I think the installation was made this noon is very regular install,right?But it did't work,without sake....
