then what about the tob encounter? now renal doesnt need to send his crew to you.A perfect idea, I hope you are reading this Lucy. It would keep Chloe's nature as you intended her to act, but would restore Renal's reputation from its ashes. Not to mention that it wouldn't be too much work, and you'd have to add 2 or 3 new short dialogue lines only.
She would start threatening Renal, so the PC would get a chance to shut her mouth before causing too much harm - if she would continue and keep threatening him, Arkanis Gath would appear and kill her. Not something that an author would like to add in his/her NPC mod (since nearly all NPC modders tend to make his/her character a bit more.. special).

what about a schatten install option with 3 picks? After reading through all the arguments, I would vote for 1 pick too.

sorry. i interpreted your post wrong.Actually, no it wouldn't be. And what makes you all so sure that he'd send a mindless group of assassins to kill her?then what about the tob encounter? now renal doesnt need to send his crew to you.
i think this idea is better then the assassines renal would send, as shadowmaster pointed out.

yes, yes. i know the spell system of dnd and the difference of sorcs and mages. it just sounded more cooler for necros who sacrifice their health to power their spells or something.Oh, I disagree 100%.
Nerco's learn spells. One of them might come up with a way to power spells with blood, but that's pretty far outside of most AD&D spells. Nero's, like other mages, memorize their spells and cast them using external energy.
Sorcerers on the other hand *are* magic. They power their own spells and 'cast' them innately. It only makes sense to me that they could choose to burn themselves to a crisp by drawing upon that source of power too much.

that was one thing that was in my mind, too.Instead it becomes *very* powerful when the Monk is teamed with a Mage or Sorcerer. With one person controlling both the party can have two members acting in a friendly Timestop. Plus since everyone is 'held' in a Timestop all the Monks blows would hit....
Ouch.

whoa, i like that. cant wait for that fight. The problem here is that Pit Fiend 'A' goes Improved Invisible as soon as he gets summoned. He is tagged as a 'summons' so that party friendly spells like True Sight don't work on him ... so whatever he decides to do first he is going to get done.I like that though...that is how a real fight should go, excpet, he shouldn't ness wait so long to gate in other fiends.
If that first thing is a summons then 'A' will summon 'B' who will summon 'C' and since it takes more than one round to kill these things you will be facing a neverending swarm before you know it.
With the current setup you at least have a shot at stopping the infinite spawning. If you manange to kill one quickly enough you break the chain.

they are named "boss monster" and shouldnt be killed with one shot. (thats why i never turn them, would be too easy)IMO the litch killing is not a problem. Don't forget that a Cleric of similar XP can turn them & make them go splat in one action too.
Besides how many ToB litches are there? One? Two?
