Hi,

I have discovered some "hidden" (well, not documented) features with BP-WeiDU, like "Conjure Animals" (level 6 spell for druids and clerics) conjures 2 greater bearwere, much like Ease-of-Use shapeshifter "rebalancing", this is VERY powerful. Compared to that, Fire Elemental, Aerial Servant and of course "Animal Summoning III" are very weak spells.

I also discovered a new level 7 druid spell : "Animate Tree" (or something), but this one seems to be useless compared to other spells at this level.

I would like to know if there is other new or modified spells hardwired in BP-WeiDU ?

Especially, how are demons handled ? In the regular game, Pit fiend were pitiful. I saw that its animation has changed, but is it improved otherwise ? Can I install some mods to improved conjuration spells or demon behavior like some Ding0's Tweak Pack components ("2: Corrected Summonned Demon Behaviour" and "3: Corrected Demon Animations" - maybe this one is not needed ?).

On the other hand, I saw that Quest Pack improved AI and Big Picture core components are compatible... but is there really a point to install General AI Improvement from Quest Pack over Big Picture ?

I removed this ( the mean werebear summoning) in BPv177. This was a rogue file leftover from originally adding weimer's component into BP. And, it also was imbalancing.

I also beefed up my summoned treant significantly. You're right, it's a 7th level spell--should be powerful. Hopefully he'll prove almost as useful as your earth elementals.

Thanks for your reply, Horred. :) Glad to see that spell removed, too powerful to my taste.

I have two more questions :

a. Can you make the grand mastery fix an optional component in next BP ? That is also too powerful to my taste.

b. About Level-50 ruleset, is that something to do with "Spell 50" from Weimer ? Or it will just removes the xp cap and allows all classes to go to level 50 ? Or maybe something else ?

a. Too late, BPv177 is released.

b. Nothing to do with Weimer's code. This expands all the tables so that a PC can advance to level 50, instead of just level 40. Just removing an XP cap is not enough, other files have to be considered or advancement is just a figurehead title.

Yeahhhhh

I was really not expecting a BP update today. And I destroyed my BG2 folder one hour ago to reinstall the game (from backup) with, of course, BP-WeiDU 176. I guess I will destroy that folder once more, for the greater good that time.

Horred, u know that each and every warrior I had with 2 weapons had 5 attacks per round...I think te "true" grandmastery as "core" is not so good idea because 2 reasons:
a ) TDD Rhytm warrior bonus attacks are totally useless...and because of that class is quite useless
b ) effects like haste or gauntlets of extraordinary specialization (and/or additional attacs per round from weapon) are wasted

I think in the next release it would be better to separate this.
BTW will bard lose his Lore after certain level? (due too high level)
