Installed, everything up and working well. New areas appearing on updated World Map. Talked to guide (main PC with 2 new NPCs in tow, Elf Paladin and Orc boy the moron), and he said let's go, etc., and game crashes with sudden black mini-window appearing on my desktop, and frozen game. So I tried going to other areas...SAME PROBLEM, whenever I leave Trademeet... Game Auto Saves without a hitch, but transitioning to LOADING AREA, immediately crashes...Love the mod, wanna play... waaaaah. Help, oh Guru. (p.s. you're in Italy? I lived near Catania, Sicily for 2 years... Aci Trezza... Viva Schillaci! A great World Cup, 1990...)

Hi Bill,

yes, I live in Italy, near Torino, quite far from Catania :) By the way, I went on holiday to Sicily a couple of years ago and I loved that island.

To play RTT you need the 'Alternative Setup'. Follow my instructions:

- run "Setup-RTT.exe" and uninstall RTT.
- move the file "[ENG]RTTSetup.bat" from the folder "rtt/AlternativeSetup/" to the "BGII - SoA" one
- run "[ENG]RTTSetup.bat"
- wait five minutes
- play RTT

and don't forget the update: http://www.shsforums...showtopic=20953

Still won't work...darnedest thing...followed instructions, did it twice. even tried a new game with totally new PC, no dice. Everything fine within Trademeet itself, but as soon as I go for any new locales, the game saves, and crashes, requiring a forced close (suddenly goes to a blacked out "windowmode" on my desktop. Any ideas...really do NOT want to totally uninstall and reinstall all BG2, TOB, patch, then RTT etc., again. Did notice one small item...when unpacking the RTT set up (the latest edition, yes), the very last TIZ doesn't unpack correctly...don't know why, could that be it?

tizs are the problem.

try this:

install rtt (don't reinstall it if it's already installed)
move the file "tiz2tis.bat" from the folder "rtt/" to the "BGII - SoA" one
move the file "tisunpack.exe" from the folder "rtt/" to the "BGII - SoA" one
run tiz2tis.bat

Aha! No "tiz2tis.bat" item / file / etc. anywhere!.... I used latest install....no idea where that tiz2tis.bat went...should I try a total reinstall to pick it up?

Thanks for the continuing help...really want to play this mod, I can see a LOT of work went into it...

Re: Italy, I spent a long week in Torino back in 1990 with my (then) Sicilian fiancee, she was attending the Univ. there for an MBA. Liked it. If you have a chance to return to Sicily, I recommend the REALLY traditional (in a bad part of town, all the mafiosi eating there...if still there...) Sicilian restaurant, Don Turiddu, in the heart of old Catania. Many, many memories. Used GOogle Earth to check out Lipari and Vulcano (Aeolian Islands) again. Also loved Siena up north... Enjoy! and seriously, thanks for the help on this... eagerly awaiting your next idea.. probably need a full reinstall, maybe somehow deleting that tiz2tis.bat file.... Auguri!

you can extract tiz2tis.bat from RTTSetup15.rar.

your problem is a nightmare for me: I can't really find the reason why tiz2tis.bat doesn't work. I only know one out of every 40-50 people have the same problem.

if you have a high-speed internet connection I can upload those .tis... I think 150 mb. Let me know it.
