Hi,

I have BGT 1.06.

A half-orc fighter with 19 in constitution starts with only 10 HP (instead of 15). No problem at level up.

Sounds like a bug, if you're using max HP/normal rules (instead of core rules or something).

I can confirm that this is happening on an unmodded BGT 1.06 install on normal difficulty. Interestingly, 18 con works fine (produces 14 hp). It appears the 19 starting con is what throws the game off. I wonder if this is related to the problem with starting Barbarian hp as well, since they deviate from the normal set of hit dice. We'll have to wait for Acsension64 to take a look.

I did a search and found that similar issues were reported on new character/imported character behavior back in 2006. I don't know what changes were made back then or how this was addressed.

I've only taken into account a Constitution range between 3 and 18 at the moment. Are there any more values above 19 that need to be considered?

Not legal values for a starting L1 character, no. Kagain starts with a 20 and an imported character could conceivably have legally used a tome to raise her CON to 20. 19 should be a valid starting value for most stats, depending on race (possibly excepting CHA).

I think only dwarves and half-orcs can have starting CON as high as 19, so if this issue only affects newly created characters, this should be fine. If it affects imported characters, then I'm not sure where you should draw the line (thinking of the max CON you could have when importing a character into a new ToB game).
