Skeleton Heads

I've found skeleton heads after destroying couple of skeletons, for what can these items be used for?

============================================

Mistress Silke Quest

I tried fighting Silke in Beregost, but no matter what I end up with one of my characters dead (she casts Magic Missile on Xan and there You have it). All my characters (main char fight/mage, Khalid, Jaehira, Montaron, and Xan) where Lvl. 1 the first time I fought her, except for Imoen she was Lvl. 2. Since then Khalid went up one Lvl. Is there a tactics to fight her now (with low level chars), or do I wait couple of levels?

============================================

Revieving character

Where can I revive my dead character, and how much will it cost, while I'm in Beregost (and sorounding areas)?
I'm playing on normal level, what will happen to character after revieving, will he lose some stats?

============================================

Viconia

I've saved Viconia from Red Fist mercenary, will there be consequence?

============================================

That is all for now.
Thank You.

Skeleton Heads, I've found skeleton heads after destroying couple of skeletons, for what can these items be used for?

You need 1 for a quest, the others you can sell.

Mistress Silke Quest, I tried fighting Silke in Beregost, but no matter what I end up with one of my characters dead (she casts Magic Missile on Xan and there You have it).

I would definitely wait few levels, as she is a bit more up on the levels... as she is on 5th to 10th level ... depending on what mods you have etc.

Revieving character, Where can I revive my dead character, and how much will it cost, while I'm in Beregost (and sorounding areas)?
I'm playing on normal level, what will happen to character after revieving, will he lose some stats?

The Temple east of the Beregost, the cost depends on mods, but it should be costly... at least 1000gp's or so...

Viconia, I've saved Viconia from Red Fist mercenary, will there be consequence?

I do not know if there is some other from one of the mods, but if you let her join your party, she always drops your reputation with 2 points.

PS, just had to edit the quotes a bit...

Girdle which cannot be identified - Crossroads area

With the cursed Girdle of Gender you can change your gender. :D
And that means, that NPCs will see your new gender and they will react on it.
If your are a man and have NPCs which have romances only with females, so they will start to romance you, if you changed to a woman. Some more informations and some bugs about that you can read here:
http://forums.gibber...showtopic=17325

Dudley's Family Necklace - Beregost

1.) Talk to the girl outside of the building
2.) Go into the building and talk with the parents several times
3.) Go out and talk with the girl again
- She sells the jewelry
- Pay her and let her the jewelry (you get one reputation point)
4.) Go into the building and the final scene with the parents and the girl starts
(you get XP, which depends on the gold you gave before)

Revieving character

I'm playing on normal level, what will happen to character after revieving, will he lose some stats?

No, he will loose nothing.

Here are some new question that doesn't regard the topic but I didn't wanted to open a new one just to post them.

I think I saw somewhere on the forum the list of all NPCs, with all their stats, which come throughout the game. Does anyone know the link, because I couldn't find it again?

Which NPCs are the best choice by your opinion for the party? My main char is True neutral but lets say I wanted to play the game by doing good deeds, and I know some Evil aligned NPCs don't like that, so I want to know, from the beginning, which characters won't leave me in later stages of the game for doing good deeds. Lets say I want to have a pretty much standard party, Fighter, Thief, Mage, Cleric, Druid, and my main Char.

Can someone tell me where can I find AD&D rules that apply for Baldur's gate?

I need the reputation/ alignment table, where do I find it?

Thanx.

Safely lower Your reputation

If I play as good character, but want to have evil aligned NPCs in party, what is the safest way to lower my reputation if it gets too high? Also is there a way to raise it if needed?

Thanx.

For BG1 this:

The BG1 NPC Project: Bardic Reputation Adjustment
This component places three Bards in three inns scattered on the Sword Coast. Each can be hired to spread your fearsome reputation around, decreasing your reputation. The amount of money this costs is dependent on your current reputation. This allows players to manipulate reputation both upwards through temple donations, and downwards through the spread of rumors (for those of us who hate killing an innocent just to keep neutral NPCs happy).

I think you mean this one:

By the way, this topic is pinned in this forum.

This is a matter of taste. The best is, you visit the NPC forums and read about them.

All used AD&D rules and tables can be found in the official BG manuals.

Safely lower Your reputation

The same what Chevalier has shown you for BG1 exist for BG2. You can install the "Bardic Reputation Adjustment for BG2" with B!Tweaks. But hold in mind, that we have not tested it with the recent BWP v7.0 yet. We'll include Berelinde's Tweak Pack in the BWP next time.

Give him gold... well, I think you have to talk to him, which then gives you the option to do that.

Dark Side of the Sword Coast NPCs

I have a question regarding NPCs from this mod. I've found Keiria Silverstring and Skeezer Lumpkin in Carnival area. Keiria is LVL 5 and Skeezer is LVLs 4/5 i think. My characters are around 2,500 XP points. Normally when I saw stronger chars I put them in my party.

Can someone tell me why are these characters so high in level and do enemies become stronger if I put them in my party now?

Also I let Khalid and Jaheira go in the middle of Nashkel mines quest, will I lose something for doing so?

Thank You.

Yes, just talk to them and eventually offer them money - but they have to be the right bards (the lake poets or something like that).

Enemies don't become stronger except as naturally depending on which mods you have. The reason the NPCs join at that level is that's the lowest levels they have for their creature (.cre) files. It would be fairly easy to add lower levels of their CRE files. Thorfinn, for example, will join at level 2 or 4 or 6 or 9 depending on what your level is. Feel free to request this over in the DSotSC forum (it might be forgotten otherwise).

Also I let Khalid and Jaheira go in the middle of Nashkel mines quest, will I lose something for doing so?

Might lose some dialogue, but probably nothing major, again, depending on which mods you have. Most megamod installs have options so they don't leave permanently - you can ask them to wait at an inn and rejoin later.

I'm currently adapting all of the DSotSC, NTotSC, & SoBH NPC's to level up as per David W's SCS code so next release they will join at party level, as well as adapting all major areas in the same 3 mods to the BGSpawns style spawning. Also, I got tired of kicking out a party member and sending them somewhere only to have them join againn much later and have fallen so far behind the party in experience as to be not nearly as useful as they should be (apparently kick out and go to an inn is a slight variation to Imprisonment and no experience happens during the passage of time) so I'm also adapting all Bioware NPC's and the DS, NT & BH NPC's to be able to rejoin and gain the proper amount of experience to rejoin at current party level as well. That will all be available soon in future releases.

It takes a village...

That will be one of the most useful things if it could be implemented properly. The players would be given choices to play with any NPC in their party at any given time. I wish You luck Erebusant with Your work.
==========================================================================
Pickpocketing useful items

During my gameplay I've done some things that other players may find useful.

I took Keiria Silversting which was lvl. 5 Bard at the time she joined, from Carnival area, and managed to pickpocket some nice things with her.

I've pickpocketed Drizzt Do'Urden in Beregost Wilderness are after helping him for his +3 Scimitar which has 50% Fire resistance and +1d6 cold damage.

Also lady Valeria in one of the houses of Beregost and found Ring of protection +1. She is the mage which is guarded by 1 Cleric, couple of guards and a buttler on the lower floor of her house.

In Fedlepos't inn, on the second floor, I've pickpocketed Alegernon's cloak (can't remember real name) from the same guy.

This is it for now. If I pickpocket other usefull things I'll let You know, or if You can update this with some info please do so.
=========================================================================
Now, I have some other quest questions:

Family of zombies

Where do I find Bassilus, and what weapons can hit him?
===========================
A stampede of Half-ogres

After completing this quest, I went to the paladin, he said he's giving me a shield but I only received 300xp and 1 REP point. Is this some kind of bug?
===========================
The curse on captain Brage

Where do I find the cpatain?
===========================
Prism, the emerald thief

How do I complete this quest, where can I find the thief?
===========================
Bandits!

After talking to Drizzt and one Half Ogre in Beregost Wilderness area, I found out that Black Talon and The Chill companies are causing caravan raids. Where do I find them, and how do I complete this quest?
===========================
Anxious farmer tells a tale

How do I complete this quest, where is the monster?
===========================
Find Gurke's famous cloak

Where is Cloakwood area, how do I find it, where the cloak is?
=========================================================================
That is all for now.

Thank You for Your answers.

Useful gems
Which gems in game are used for creation of some items or quests? I need to know this because I have plenty and want to sell those I won't be needing?

Thanks.

Knowing that mods have readme's is a good stars. <_<
Yes, the readme's usually reveal exact recipe the item is maid out of.

...or quests?

Well, there is at most one unspecified item you need to complete a quest in the whole original game... and that item is the Rogues stone.

In the normal game, nothing, if you have UB1forBGT, you might want to take a piece out for someone.

This is something I don't like. Bad that this is not fixed.

A stampede of Half-ogres

After completing this quest, I went to the paladin, he said he's giving me a shield but I only received 300xp and 1 REP point. Is this some kind of bug?

I think this depends on the dialogue you have choosen, so you have let him his shield.

Anxious farmer tells a tale

How do I complete this quest, where is the monster?

About that we have spoken in the German forum, last year. We think that this is a rumor only.
