*makes Jedi mindtrick handwave* One of you weirdo modders feels a sudden urge to write a mod.

It should let the NO leave his pet Lim-Lim in the care of someone in Sigil who'll take good care of it, before going to the Fortress of Regrets. The modification should consist of a few lines of dialogue, followed by the NO losing the "item", and the pet Lim-Lim appearing near the new owner (still called "pet Lim-Lim", but with the "pick it up" option removed from dialogue).

Hm... Not sure what sort of "friends" the NO has in Sigil that he'd trust with his beloved pet... Hm, I nominate the following candidates:

1. One of the nicer Prostitutes (Nenny, Yves, Kesai... not Julliette, she's a bit too self-absorbed to be entrusted with a pet)
2. Corvis/Karina, if you've been helpful to them - bet the Lim-Lim wouldn't mind if Karina talked at it all day!
3. Fell - just 'cause I like'm, and his house is something of a sanctuary, even the Lady doesn't seem to touch him

Yeah I really posted this for laughs, don't really expect this to happen, but it struck me as a neat idea and it would be crazy cool if someone competent in modding actually did pick it up :) If you guys could be bothered to save a stupid polygon like Nordom, why not a loyal pet!

*Force Choke* I find the lack of like-minded response disturbing.

I wonder if you could try to catch the attention of our mighty resident Vilkacis. He has been known to produce a mod request on occasion if one managed to get him interested in the idea :)

If made, it would have to be an option availabe for the whole game rather than just the end. The Nameless One wouldn't know that the Lim-Lim can't survive the trip.

But yeah, it'd be pretty fun.

I haven't played this game for quite some time, but if I remember correctly, I used to leave Lim-Lim in my room at the Society of Sensation. It wouldn't be too far-fetched to assume that the servants will take care of the pet, even if there is no option to specifically ask them to do that.

Ya know, if you just turn the thing to stone, it won't suffer!

"Kick the lim-lim!"
"Don't kick lim-lim" :(

Those interested in the classic TBS game Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri / Alien Crossover should check out the unofficial patch I work on here.

An option to cook it and eat it would be nice too.

What?

OK, you're all monsters, but that made me laugh. :P

And as to TNO not knowing in advance... well it doesn't seem too far fetched to me, if you've listened to taht NPC in the bar talk about the Negative plane... and also knowing how badly the previous attack on the Fortress went. Then again maybe it is just meant to be a little bit of tragedy to build up the ending and remind the player that this place kills...

Like I said, not a very serious request. Wanted to see if anyone felt the same way though!

(Oh and remind me why the NO can't revive it with his companion-reviving powers?)

Haha, that's a good one, Tassadar88. I bet after getting enough levels down there, what we'll get is another Killer Lim Lim, like the one that killed the 5 mages.
