Game of Goodness
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
Although more worthy of an expansion to AC2 I found this game very enjoyable only just beating ME2 imo.
Good story, graphics, gameplay, sound.
9/10
Game of Badness
Command & Conquer 4
The biggest mistake was to take the the main function from other C&C games. I only got to mission 2 before getting bored.

The Worst: I don't remember... it must have been that bad, or actually there were so many(Treasure Island, etc. Facebook games, most not even worth a tr...)
Well they did change the game a lot, and it was definitely not the best, but it wasn't the worst either.Command & Conquer 4

Kinda risky to use on the end of the tiberium series though, it would've been better doing it in a new story.Well they did change the game a lot, and it was definitely not the best, but it wasn't the worst either.

Worst: tie between Bioshock 2 and Mount and Blade: Warband.
Yes, those are the only 2010 games I bought so far (Poker Night at the Inventory doesn't count), and they both can be described as "Better than the original, but not enough. Also, multiplayer I can't enjoy because of the learning curve".

Worst of the year: Civilization V. I was so hyped up about this, but it really didn't live up to my expectations at all.

The other games haven't been that good, although I've only bought four 2010 released titles. ME2 provided a good story and shooter elements despite being overly simplified.
Worst: Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening
It didn't really offer anything new, and in comparison it wasn't really all that good either. It left me hoping for something more. And it certainly proved that BioWare now considers expansions to be "a sort of DLC" when it comes to quality.
Yeah, and I expect to see your list here pronto. With Archmage Silver's Top3 Most Awaited Games - 2011 Edition Topic I figured we should have this to voice your opinions on what you think is your "Best game of the year" or your "Worst game of the Year" of 2010.

To be fair, I've not bought anything else, other than DA: Awakening, which I thought was pretty decent for an expansion, and Fallout New Vegas which I haven't installed yet. So no worst games for me.

Crikey, was it that bad? I thought it got good reviews. But then I never even bothered to try Civ 4, because it looked too cartoony compared with Civ 3 (which is like, the best game *ever*!).Worst of the year: Civilization V. I was so hyped up about this, but it really didn't live up to my expectations at all.
I don't know if I've bothered with any games that came out this year - I'm still working on games that came out 3 years ago or earlier.

It wasn't awful or anything, just... so disappointing in comparison to Civ4 (which you should definitely try.)

Best game of the year: Mass Effect 2, hands down.
Worst of the year: Civilization V. I was so hyped up about this, but it really didn't live up to my expectations at all.
This pretty much.

Name: Silvi
Class: Witch (Writer/Painter)
Alignment: Neutral Evil
When asked about her past, SILVI asks why are you asking about her past. After some nagging she admits she always had a weak spot for Baldur's Gate, game from her youth. She mentions she had been seeking for a way to add a mod of her own to it. Now, she notes proudly, her little dream is being granted.

Oh, and you've just lost the game.

The best thing about the IE forums is that nobody gives a flying crap about double posting, bumping, necroing and similar "offenses".edit: Heh I was so bored I did not even notice it had been over a month since anyone posted in this topic...hope it does not count as a necro post!

Boo! Boo!
Civilisation V would be one of my top three games of the year. Not admittedly number one, but Civ V is great. Great, great, great. *Stamps foot*. Great!
My best game of the year, Mass Effect 2.
Worst of the year, I was persuaded to have a go at Force Unleashed II. The first was quite a nice game, though not really adapted well for PC. The second was NDG. If there's a third, and it deteriorates as far, expect it to create a black hole and destroy the planet through sheer suckitude.
Back from the brink.
Like RPGs? Like Star Wars? Think combining the two would be fun? Read Darths and Droids, and discover the line "Jar Jar, you're a genius".

The hour when earth's foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.

Are you judging it on its own or would you be able to compare it with Civ IV and/or Civ III?Civilisation V would be one of my top three games of the year. Not admittedly number one, but Civ V is great. Great, great, great.

If I look through some of my old material I can find the floppy disks to install Civ 1. Now, if I had a floppy disk drive I could do something with them. I've played every version of Civilisation, and the Call to Power games, and Alpha Centauri.
I suppose I should say, I don't think it's better than Civ IV. I think it is as good as Civ IV. Civ V isn't a direct evolution of Civ IV, it's more as if they took Civ III and looked at a different way to evolve with that as the starting point. Hence, the similarities and the differences.

But none of those can ever come even near the Total Epicness which is called the Master of Magic. And that game was made in 1994, almost 16 years ago....

A spinoff of that game probably qualifies for one of the worst of 2010 (Elemental: War of Magic). Haven't played it, but its poor reception singlehandedly forced the publisher into layoffs. But none of those can ever come even near the Total Epicness which is called the Master of Magic. Civ3: Conquests is the best in the series followed by Civ2: Test of Time in my view (though admittedly, I haven't tried anything beyond those, largely because I wasn't overwhelmed by the cartoony graphics).
Haven't tried Master of Magic either - I think I DLed it and was going to but got distracted by Disciples or some similar type of spinoff.

Weird thing is tho, this one other particular forums I go often, seems to be going through "I hate Mass Effect 2" phase. Most of them voted ME2 as worst RPG of 2010, while Alpha protocol was nominated as best RPG of 2010 by majority of people. Maybe evidence of Bioware vs Obsidian fans?
