So much for a stable BG2 play installation *LOL* Every time Kivan approaches my party for the first time, in Waukeen's Promenade area, if Minsc is in the party, Minsc delivers a line that begins "Friend Kivan!" after Kivan bids my main character to stop. When I click Continue below the line that Minsc delivers, I get a CTD immediately. This is a consistent error.

 

Please help me to troubleshoot and (hopefully) solve this issue. The line of text is in MINSCJ.DLG. Attached is my weidu.log file.

 

TIA for any help with this, as I can't play the game until this is fixed.

Now I think I should rule out Minsc as being responsible for the error. I loaded a saved game, dismissed Minsc from the party, then had Kivan greet my PC. After his initial dialogue line, and saying that it's not safe here, etc., I get a CTD again. I'll run it again to verify.

This appears to be an issue with only the Kivan mod, so I'll close discussion here and open it at G3.

Also, soundsets aren't working at all for Kiyone, Kova, or Saerileth. Kiyone and Kova don't deliver any dialogue after their initial lines, and I have to force-add them to my party (since they don't even ask to join). Yasraena takes a small amount of damage whenever I equip a weapon on her, but otherwise functions as she should.

 

BioWare NPCs are also behaving as they should.
