The coding part of Armor Revisions is going well, no deadlines however. -_-

Main code of AR is done, now the descriptions are sent to proofreader for heavy revision.
An helping proofreader (or more) should be able to speed up the process (and release date). :D

Forgot to add changelog:

-Rewritten most of tp2 for faster execution and shorter size.
-Fixed minor typ0es.
-Prompt customization!
-Trueclass thieves now correctly "forget" thief innates upon dualling to Fighter or Cleric.
-Added Armor Revisions, missing only the proofreaded item description.
-SFX-RAR will auto-update and re-launch!
-Good celestials won't cast Globe of Blades since they could hurt you. Evil celestials, on the other side, aren't so picky, and will cast Globe of Blades and risk hurting you.

The Revised Armors & Shield component is "technically ready".
Of course we have still to double check things, refine a few items, maybe change something upon closer evalution.
Anyway, all armors and shields (and this includes A LOT of mod-originated ones) will have a standardized format (an example follows).
First the regular STATISTICS, which include all the modifiers regularly involved with an armor (these are "physical" properties, even though magic and quality can improve them), then any SPECIAL EFFECT. So, for instance, a Hide in Shadows *bonus* would fall under the latter category (since normally armors give a penalty, or nothing at best, to hide in shadows).
No, we didn't ask permission to the various authors for changing descriptions (unless the_bigg did it silently...), but really, it'd be a bit tiring to trace them all, and we just changed the format to include a more generic version of the statistics.
The actually applied changes bring the items to a level of "conformity" with the new system - any other specific property remaining with an "incremental logic".
Hope it makes sense.

Anyway, here's the aforementioned example:


The light but durable scales of the Blue Dragon provide excellent protection against weapons and all forms of electricity.
STATISTICS:
Resistance to slashing damage: +35%
Resistance to piercing damage: +20%
Resistance to blunt damage: +10%
Resistance to missile damage: +40%

Just closed the hopefully final build.

The changelog:
  • Rewritten most of tp2 for faster execution and shorter size.
  • Fixed minor typ0es.
  • Prompt customization.
  • Trueclass thieves now correctly "forget" thief innates upon dualling to Fighter or Cleric (until reactivation of the starting class).
  • Added the Armor Revisions component.
  • Added a small tweak to allow compatibility between the SA component and Kido NPC.
  • *Good* Celestials don't cast Globe of Blades any longer, to avoid the risk of causing harm to the party.
  • The mod is distributed as a SFX-RAR which will auto-update and re-launch setup-refinements.exe, and also has Mac version.
  • XP cap remover added to the HLA component.
  • Added an alternate SwashImoen, which will only change her kit, without touching the rest.
  • Using DESIGNATED to better allow for future mod development.
  • Additional notes on mod compatibility.
  • French translation by Sir Crapoilleau.
  • HTML Readme.
  • Fixed two entries in Diviner HLA table.
  • SwashImoen can also work without the Revised HLA component or TOB installed.
  • Japanese translation by Kuroukume veland.
