What are the height codes for the different avatars and how can change them, i.e. produce a three-letter code for the height I need?

Weapon animations / paperdoll bam names contain the 3 letter code, it is moddable in EE.  

See the ini file for the animation.

 
6000.ini:
height_code=WQL
height_code_helmet=WQL

So halflings and dwarves, for example, use different BAM files for, for example, the same helmet? And the same for maces, swords and each single weapon? They would have to be redrawn or what? The case in point: gnomes. I edited the walking BAM to be both somewhat smaller overall and slimmer, just that BAM to start with. And they shrink down to that size when they walk... :D I use the DWARF_LOW INI files, so it's just a matter of renaming the resources and giving a different reference in the INI files. But helmets sit a little high on these animations. I may fiddle with their size yet, but I need a small adjustment - the height just below that of dwarves. So, are you telling me that I need to make a new set of the weapons and animations files, with changed Y axis, or is there an existing set I could use?

Yes. There is no resizing of these on the part of the engine; they are separate graphic files with 100s of separate frames.
