Gives me errors for some files. Normal?

Yeah, it's normal. There are some junk buggy areas in the game that aren't used. You can try fixing it but I still get errors so I just ignore them.

Problem is... I missing sounds, and those that I export from NI go wrong, as they have extension .wav but Audacity can't even play it correctly.

The sounds in the game are WAVC format (compressed WAVs) so use Export & Convert in NI to make them normal WAVs you should be able to edit in Audacity or whatever.

there are no night and city sounds for Monty

No, his night and city sounds are bogus references in the game... this happens with a lot of NPC sounds unfortunately :(.

Huh? Export and convert? I can only find convert CHR to CRE.
It also constantly says he has an error loading acm2wav.exe, which prevents me from playing the files... Now I don't mind exporting all if that just gets me what I want, but it remains annoying and it also causes him, as said, to dump .acm files

Maybe this is something devSin added to his version of NI, but I kind of doubt it.

You need to get acm2wav and put it in your BG2 directory along with NI.

No, he doesn't. Like I said, they're bogus references. See the red lines on the previous screenshot for where they should've been.

To an admin: Can't there be an option to not shrink graphics when it's not necessary? It's annoying...

It seems I need a new NI... for here is my screenshot. I simply don't have the function. However, now with the acm2wav. exe being dumped in my NI folder (which is nowhere near BG, BG2 or PS:T) it does extract them in correct .wavs, which make me happy enough

edit: After some testiong it is handier to use the old version... why? Well it dumps the files right in the NI folder, near to my mod, whereas the new version I constantly (like DLTCEP) have to mention in which folder I want it... and that is just not in the same place as it always wants it to be in my BG/BG2 folder, and I don't want this...

edit 2: Blast the version keeps stopping on me, when I play, for only than it dumps it in my NI folder.. guess I just make a new folder in BG.... just for this project and move it

I'm not sure which version you have but it sounds like an old one. The one I linked is the latest I'm aware of. You can put NI anywhere but I just put a copy in each game folder. It's low profile and that way it automatically opens the relevant game. You can probably reconfigure that somewhere too. Also, you can tell DLTCEP to open/save to a specific folder by checking off the "Always start in default folder" box in the edit options. I forget when exactly this feature was added but it was a while ago.

Thanks Miloch I will check that for sure in DLTCEP. As you can see from the second edit of my former post I am working with the new NI version now, thanks. It is sure to make my life easier. All sounds are now extracted. Now to see if I can make city and night sounds and stuff. But I am sure I can manage :cheers:
