Hi @ all. :)
I thought to open a topic here too (I posted and will keep posting on the CoM DH boards as well) to let you know of the problems I find in order to let you fix them, either in the BG:T version or with the BWP fixpack. Hope it makes things easier for your project.

Here's what I've found so far:
- CMFOOD1.itm & CMFOOD2.itm does not display their proper descriptions, I think because the .tp2 file assigns their description to 0x50 and <NO TEXT> to 0x54 (respectively unidentified and identified description);
- CMDAQ01.itm (returning throwing dagger) crashes the game with a "corrupted BAM" error when used as a ranged weapon because it has 0% in all the three possible animations, setting 100% in overhand with NearInfinity fixed this in my game;
- CMDAQ05.itm is a throwing dagger but its category is set to 25 (axes), this could cause minor compatibility issues with other mods which changes only one weapon category.

Here's my weidu.log too, for future reference:

I installed DH where the BWP pdf tells to install the other two BG1 CoM mods, now included in DH. The only possible clash I can see, apart from overwriting issues (if present), may be with the Drizz't Saga since both mods fire some events as soon as the player exits the tower with the dagger. From the little I've read about how Drizz't Saga works anyway I think it's possible there will be no clashes at all on this matter.

Cheers. :)
All of the above must be considered totally IMHO.

So you'd suggest to re-install, moving DH right after BGT? Luckily I'm right at the beginning.. :D

I've just noticed that.. Erm.. I forgot to install the worldmap. Will reinstall now and will install DH right after BGT.
I've noticed that the pdf guide says that in order to install Drizz't Saga and Stone of Askavar I have to copy the worldmap.wmp file in the override directory before installing: do I have to do it for both mods (copy, install Drizz't Saga, copy again, install SoA) or copying it the first time for Drizz't Saga will suffice? (Using Drizz't Saga v2.0 and SoA v1.5) Thanks! :)

You don't need the worldmap.wmp hotfix if you haven't one of the big BG2 mods or specially NEJ2. If you install NEJ2 or all big BG2 mods, then you need to copy the worldmap.wmp hotfix directly before you install Drizzt Saga and/or Stone of Askavar. Nomally you need to copy it only one time, but I recommend to use the Install.bat, which install all the hotfixes for you.

Greetings Leomar

Not a game-breaking issue, but a bothersome one nonetheless: a lot of weapons does not have their weapon proficiency requirement set right, they have weapon proficiency unknown - 0.
They are too much to list them by hand, and with a simple tp2 code like this one:
BACKUP ~misc/backup~
AUTHOR ~kthxbye~

BEGIN ~search for CoM broken weapons~
NO_LOG_RECORD
COPY_EXISTING_REGEXP GLOB "CM.*\.itm$" ~override~
 READ_BYTE 0x31 weapprof
 PATCH_IF (weapprof = 0) BEGIN
PATCH_PRINT ~%SOURCE_RES%.ITM has its proficiency requirement set to unknown - 0~
 END
BUT_ONLY
you will be notified of non-weapons items as well.
Also, CMBLUN03 has a corrupted BAM.

EDIT: it also seems that those weapons don't have their restricted classes flags set properly, as they're usable by either everyone, or by classes that should be restricted following their descriptions.

The two dwarven clerics in the Nashkel Mines don't turn hostile after the dialog with their leader, nor when I kill the fighter and the thief with them watching. I had the dialog with the leader without seeing any of the other assassins, but the fighter and the thief turned hostile as expected.
I have SCS I installed, so the clerics not turning hostile while I fight the others might be a slight incompatibility issue with SCS I if the clerics don't use their own custom scripts, but they should've turned hostile by script during the dialog I suppose.
All of the above must be considered totally IMHO.

Not a game-breaking issue, but a bothersome one nonetheless: a lot of weapons does not have their weapon proficiency requirement set right, they have weapon proficiency unknown - 0.

BG1 did not have proficiencies set this way, so this is a bug with the BGT conversion I mentioned in the thread Leomar linked.

EDIT: it also seems that those weapons don't have their restricted classes flags set properly, as they're usable by either everyone, or by classes that should be restricted following their descriptions.

Possibly related, though there may be some original mod bugs there too. The conversion should've followed this tutorial for class/kit usability and for proficiencies.

It seems there are also quite some corrupted BAMs. The most used one seems to be GRNLEAT.

Yes, there are several of these bugs in the original BG1 Adventure mod we fixed in our conversion. I suppose I could dig up the fixed BAMs at least.

Thanks Miloch. :) I'm sorry if I bring up already discovered and/or already fixed bugs :( but the thread Leomar linked is generic and I not always have the time to read all of that. Also, I think it could be useful to have a dedicated topic since the mod's quite new, but if you think it's better to do in any other way (to avoid wasting time over already discussed bugs) I'm willingly to change how I'm reporting things. :)

Players (two 'till now) report that the BGT version of the mod does not install because the .tp2 has some broken traified references. Using the .tp2 I had from an older version did the trick, but it may bring up already fixed bugs. I have the old version of the mod on my HD if it may be useful.

Also, I've just got the encounter with the one saying <charname> attacked a village and all. While the one doing the talk attacked fine, the guards attacked randomly (chasing my characters for one round, then standing idle for some time, then chasing again) and the other one (the one with the mace and the shield) didn't move, attack or cast anything. I'm sorry I don't remember their names. Again I don't know if it's a DH bug, or a DH/SCS I clash.
All of the above must be considered totally IMHO.

Yes, that thread is getting too long and spammy for me to read too, and it makes sense to report mod-specific problems in their forum or at least a thread devoted to the mod.

Some of these problems may be inherent in Dark Horizons, some are related to the BGT conversion, some are related to the original BG1 Adventure/CoM Forge mods and some as you suggest may be conflicts with other mods. It is tough to sort out what's what but it needs to be sorted so the right people can address the issues. Hopefully, the folks at CoM and rosenranken.de will check this too unless you're replicating it at those forums, because they did the original mod and conversion, respectively.

I'm posting here to give more visibility (does that word exist? ) since some fixes may be incorporated into the BWP fixpack, but I'm posting on the CoM forum as well so they have the same bug reports I post here. :)

By the way, another one: CMAROW03.itm crashes the game, probably because of its two "slay" effects - one of them isn't properly set, as it has target unknown. I didn't try to fix it and spawn a creature with CMAROW03.itm right now because I grew a bit tired of debugging instead of playing, but will probably try it today or tomorrow. Replicating the normal arrows inside the override folder, naming it CMAROW03.itm lets the game run smoothly.
All of the above must be considered totally IMHO.

The BGT tp2 file references a number of missing lines in the setup.tra. Setup ends with line 754, but the bgt tp2 contains references up to 789 for SAY NAME1.

Unfortunately, DarkHorizons100 is not traified. I did run a text compare (thank you IDM and UltraCompare) but that was no help in discovering what those additional texts might be

The tp2 file attached is my best guess as to the correct replacement numbers.

also I believe that @591 should be 2-Handed instead of Handed

but you have more choices or paths through the game.

Please, let us know about DarkHorizons (BGT version) future in the BWP when it will be clear how things must be carried on, so that I'll know if I can help you with bugfixes or if it isn't needed.
All of the above must be considered totally IMHO.

Any discussion about Dark Horizons that concerns updates, bug fixes, etc can be done at its forum. Thanks.

Just for clarity's sake, there isn't a single bug report here that isn't present on the CoM boards as well - in fact, this is the "shadow" copy, not the other way around. I opened it to help BWP users to find the proper place to DH in the install order, and to check possible clashes with other mods.
Apart from that, let's use the CoM boards only then.

So, new Dark Horizonts 1.02 without harder enemies is still best installed right after BGT and before big BG1 mods and not let say after DSotSC ( not sure is it recomended so on CoM )?
