After yet another round with BiG WORLD, I have an RAR file called "The_Lady's_Shadow" in my override folder.

I'm pretty sure the game doesn't use RAR's natively, so how and why did it get there...It contains BAMS that appear to be related to Infinity Animation content.

Um, well it shouldn't be there anyway unless you downloaded IA archives from a long time ago, as I removed it and put it in that topic last April (or thought I did anyway).

It shouldn't be old archives...They were fetched by BWP and I thought that one of the major purposes of BWP fetching was to get the latest and greatest version of the mods.

Yeah, it should be getting the most recent archives, but maybe it also fetches the Shadow archive separately for some reason (even though it clearly says "for modder use only"). Hopefully someone who knows about it can check.

If download 875 should not be used, tell me which ones should...
Here's a list of the download-ids and names (versions may differ -- it's just an "internal" name without a purpose for the BWS)

860=IA Content 001 - Base Content v5
861=IA Content 002 - IWDII and unused BGII Animations v4
863=IA Content - IWD Svirfneblin v2
865=IA Content - IWD Belhifet and Marilith v2
866=IA Content - Shadows, Harpy and Frost Giant v2
867=IA Content - WoRm's NWN Ports and Alternate Modron v3
868=IA Content - Remaining IWD Animations v3
869=IA Content - BG2 Restores v2
870=IA Content - Fiends and Genies v6
872=IA Content - PST Abishai v2
875=IA Content - White Wyvern and Dragon, Lady of Pain v2
879=IA Content - Miscellaneous NWN Animations I v2
899=IA Content - Moinesse's Avatar Edits (IA compatible version) v1
902=IA Content - PST Paletted Animations v2
THINK! - It's not illegal.

Curses, it still has the old (v1) version for some reason. Luckily, I've got copies of the updates on an external drive, so I'll try updating it again momentarily.

If someone's done an Infinity Animations install or download recently, could you please check all the archive subfolders and make sure they contain sounds (.wav) or sound table (.2da) files. Offhand, from a BWP download I did months ago, it looks like the only other "old" one is IA_NWN_01_Modron.rar. They're both suspiciously around ~65MB, which might be past some sort of SHS upload limit or something.

Wait, so will this cause crashes in the game or severe bugs?

I *just* yesterday installed what seemed to be a very stable BWP version. No errors on the install. Gave it to a friend even.

Do I have to fix something before I go to far?

Oh and, I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but I do not have a file in my override named "The_Lady's_Shadow". But I did install Infinity Animations (and as far as irenicus dungeon is concerned, it does work - no problems)

And I can't check for you, if I have theese files in the archive that you speak of becouse I deleted all "unneseceary" files (big world downloads...) after running Big World Cleanup.bat

No. It really makes no difference for this particular archive, since there are no white dragons or white wyverns even in a BWP install (odd really, since you'd think Drizzt Saga or NEJ or something would have one). Lady of Pain is used in only one rare mod, and is unaffected as she has no sound clips ported from PS:T.

However, the NWN archive has some creatures that may be affected. But the only thing is they might not have some combat sounds, so you may not even notice (unless missing soundclips causes a crash, which I doubt, but you never know with this game). If you don't want to take chances, all you've got to do is drop the .wav and .2da files from that archive into your override folder (assuming you've already installed).

Probably because the cleanup deleted the .rar file, which is fine in this case as it's unused.

Anyway, I updated both the Lady/WWyvern/WDragon archive and the NWN Ports/Modron archive. I think they've got the sound clips/tables now, but if someone wants to double-check, that'd be cool.

Thanks for the info Miloch! :) I thought I had to reinstall or something. Phew.

On the archives, the NWN archive seems fine - I pasted all .2da and the .wav's (except from alternate modron, I don't know if it would be safe or not, or if bwp even installs this) to my override.

On the Wyvern (etc) archive - it seems fine too :) but, I just figured id mention that the folder "Wyvern, White Big" has no .wav's in it (yet it still has a .2da file, as compared to lady of pain which has none of theese) - I don't know if it is a mistake or not as i'm clueless about theese things, but it can't hurt mentioning :)

thanks again

I don't know why it's called "alternate" modron - it's not like there's another modron animation I'm aware of. It is used in IA for a couple creatures though, such as the "modron" in the vanilla game (obsmod01.cre) that otherwise uses a rather inappropriate golem animation. Also uses the sounds, so you may as well paste those too.

That is correct - if you open the 2da with a text editor, you'll see it uses BG2 wyvern sounds. They were the same as IWD so no need to port them. Thanks for checking :).
