BGT bug with Edwin

I visited Edwin with a new BG2 game and there were two identical Edwins. Both talked about the Meddling Mages Quest - i.e. they wanted me to kill Dynaheir... only I couldn't as I was in BG2!

Any way of fixing this quest so his dialogue moves onto the BG2 Edwin quest?

Could you post the textual contents of your WeiDU.log and zip up your saved game and post that too?

Managed a workaround - found the letter in the closet to continue the thieves guild quest, hopefully Edwin with kick off Nether Scrolls but I'm not sure.

Apparently one of the mods adds a duplicate Edwin but I'm not sure which (I think not DSotSC, not sure about the others).

Anyone know the right global variable to set to kick of Edwin's Nether Scrolls quest? Is there an online list of global variables for BG2 I could track down somewhere?

Not that I know of. You'd have to hack around in his scripts and dialogue files with Near Infinity or something.

Just discovered a similar problem with Imomen when she rejoins in Spellhold. Got two using their BG1 Candlekeep joining script. Weird. Also, as I'm progressing through the chapters I'm getting Bhaalspawn abilities and the transition scenes from BG1... Mega Weird.

Finally, I've noticed that North Forest and the Forest of Tethyr are available from ToB even though I'm still in SoA. If I go to either, I get a CTD. There's a mountain with fire giants too, but if I go there, the game doesn't crash and I get to fight Fire Giants.
