Working on it. Probably still another month or two out. We have a couple more maps to build for Castle Amber. Once I can do a full run through that mod, I'll see about getting this out to everyone.

Tired of Bhaal? Try some classics mods instead:

Looking forward to it also.

It is rather funny how there still is no worthy successor to Baldur's Gate.

Well, I wouldn't pick up the shovels yet... it might be just that SirBB and the others have this "real life", what ever mysterious stuff that is, on the way of preventing updates.

Deactivated account. The user today is known as The Imp.

RL comes and of course we have to take care of out life and things change during the years. We have no news from more than 1 year, it's quite fair the project is stalled now with no much work on it as it was in the past :(

Pity indeed but yeah, life is life :P

Wellllll... it's not pushing up daisies just yet, but I'll admit it has been in a coma for a long time now... I'm not sure how much I should put out into open domain about what's been going on in our real lives, but we do have plans to continue working on CA eventually. Last time my dad and I talked to Leahnkain about the status of CA (in May...), he said:

I am sure CA will continue, I have a lot of maps and dialogs which have not been included so I would like to get them into the game in the near future. I guess with myself being inactive there is nobody bothering Joe to update. I am sure once I settle back to canada regualr update can be expected even if it is just me updating CA.

If you've got a straight answer ANYWHERE in that bent little head of yours, I want to hear it pretty damn quick or I'm going to take a large blunt object roughly the size of Elminster AND his hat, and stuff it lengthwise into a crevice of your being so seldom seen that even the denizens of the nine hells themselves wouldn't touch it with a twenty-foot rusty halberd! Have I MADE myself perfectly CLEAR?!"

Hey everybodies

Any news for an update ?

I assume that 6 years without any update means that the project is dead.

No modder is interested to continue this mod ?

Sam's around.  Maybe he and the others could decide if the unfinished assets should be released.  Failing that, I would just bugfix and update for compatibility with what's already present.

There has been no work or progress on Classic Adventures in recent years and sadly I do not foresee it resuming in the near future.  With that being said, I would love it if CA were updated to be compatible with the EE engine.  I have not done it myself for two main reasons:  1) I lack the time, and 2) I don't have anywhere near the WeiDU skills needed to tackle such a project.  If a serious and experienced WeiDU coder volunteered for the project, it might inspire the rest of us to get the ball rolling again...

Thanks for the response.  Some old projects never get asked about because the assumption is that the author(s) don't want them touched.  At least CA can now be considered for updating and compatibility at least.  Hopefully someone steps up, but time is flaky and skills are usually devoted to their own projects than someone else's.

It would be also interesting to traify CA if it were updated for EE.

Classic Adventures with EE-support would be great! I do love CA, anyhow. But we do need an upgrade for Aurora's Shoes and Boots, too.  i am missing Miloch on this part, hoping he and the other retired modders are fine.  A version with tra files in it,  is a good idea.

Thank You all very much for modding in general.

I would love to see someone update CA, SirBillyBob has gone MIA and the real world has kept me very busy. If others want to get CA back up and running, you have my permission. Just give me or arrange with another CA Team member first.
