I'm really glad that Mark Twain's old adage applied to SHS once more. Well done on whoever made sure this repository of knowledge was preserved, when so many other forums with years of posting history have vanished for good in similar circumstances. Which leads me to ask - could someone assuage my feeble heart and confirm that there is indeed an offline backup of the entire site safely stored away on someone's HDD? Just for future eventualities... the Wayback Machine alas isn't really a feasible archiving options for forums.

By the sounds of it, SConrad restored the forums this time using just such a backup. Alas, there are some things broken with the forums now that weren't broken before we went down. The admins/staff have started something of a list, but unfortunately the couple of us who may have the knowledge/skill to attempt a fix (I'm not one of them) haven't gotten to it yet.

I am glad to see that SHS is back. Thanks to all who made this possible!
In the Downloads section I am not able to upload a new version of my files. I searched my file an clicked the button "Attach File" as usual but nothing happens. Instead after a few seconds there displays the error message "No file was selected for upload".

The file uploader currently doesn't work; possibly because it expects working spellholdstudios.net subdomains, which we've lost. The server admin will attempt to fix issues like that as soon as possible.

Welcome back SHS among the living! It was pretty surreal for me to finalize my BWP install on the same day the site died, but fortunately it didn't turn out to be an omen. Not one of permanent woes at least.

If you need help getting HTTPS (using Let's Encrypt, so at zero cost) set up and are open to accept outside help, I'd be happy to make that happen
