afraid not, no.

fixed the problem. one of the NPC's in that area was carrying a scalp in his hand, which was an invalid location. works fine now, thanks for everyone's help!

Also, I realize now that I DO see the loading screen before the game crashes, but that the progress bar does not advance at all.

, i used Infinity Exp to check for AR870.ARE, AR8700.WED, AR8700.TIS, AR8700.MOS, AR8700LM.BMP, AR8700HT.BMP, & AR8700SR.BMP

I could not find ar8700.wed, and ar8700.TIS cam back with 'unknown file extension'

the other files all look fine.

CTD is Crash To Desktop?

If I talk to the bandits, the game autosaves, then crashes to the destop before it shows the load bar at all.
If I click on the bandit camp on the map, the same thing happens. game autosaves, then crashes to desktop before the load bar appears

If I use the cluaconsole, the autosave option doesn't appear at all, and the load bar goes to maybe 10% full, then crashes to desktop.

by "Crash to desktop" I mean that I'm suddenly looking at a black window on 2/3's of my screen, and my normal desktop background on the other 1/3. (game runs in 800 by 600 full screen, and default desktop is 1024x768). At that point, I have to ctl-alt-del and close end the game process.

Starting a new game doesn't help, running the bergost crash fixer doesn't help, reinstalling the BGT worldmap doesn't help. (When I reinstall BGT worldmap, I tell it to modify old save games)
