Get it from here. The same old place, hehe.

Mostly fixes the bit of problems people were haivng with version 8. Also includes GrapeApes Trondor fixes. I discontinued the Bioware self-installing exectional, due to user complaints. Hopefully doing this doesn't cause yet more complaints!  :lol:

Grab it, download it, play it.


Hopefully version 10 can actually be mostly enhancements, for a change. I've got a lot of things planned--some CNR additions, existing area beautification (and perhaps, some new areas even!)--and more. Gotta finish BPv170 for the BG2 fans first, but afterwards my modding schedule is mostly free.

Great news!

After some time/days @ studies and family a new week and a new Version!!!!

Already used the DB-Builder -> it worked great and without errors!!!

The Real Mod is online now and the first heroes arrived :online2long:

Version 8 would have been uploaded tonight, but for the multitude of issues reported on the Bug Tracker, that I had to address. A couple of them were actually legitimate.  :P 

It's finished, but I'm getting some shuteye very soon. When I wake up, I'll upload.

There is nothing wrong with the loot drops--it's all in your head, homey. I was getting 1 out of 3 with treasure--about 1 out of 10 with magical treasure. Get out of the flats, and stop fighting goblins.  Even if it is a pretty board. :P

Did you have a look @ the DB-Builder-Mod too?

Seems, that I am not the only one who have probs to build the DBs with it ...

The DBBM was a very great help @ V5 & V6 - but since V7 we are not able to use it, cause of booting the players immediately afer CharGen @ NWN Engine with no Option to return (booting immediately after log in). As stated elswhere, cause of low performance of the Server PC we cannot use the RealMod to create the DBs.

Maybe the Export / Import via MySQL brings a solution :online2long:

PS: I edited the path for Leto @ inc_letoscript.nss - worked perfectly @ V5+6 :online2long:

#207530 Trouble with Banking and Bulletin Boards

Hello, I have just followed the Instructions to Running this module, but am having some problems with the Banking System and Community bulletin Boards. The Banking will work, but if you Deposit your money, then ask to Withdraw it, it tells you that you have NO Money to withdraw. The Bulletin Boards say "Unrecognized Token" all over it. Does anyone have a Clue as to why this would do this? I used the SQL Database Tables here, but that didnt seem to do anything. After I ran the SQL File, I restarted the Host Computer, and the Tables and SQL was there and Running, but I dunno if it is using MySQL or not. Thank You for any Help on this Subject.

Did you use the DB-Mod as stated in the ReadMe?

You can check the DB access with MYSQL Administrator.

@ our server the Item Level Restrictions were DISABLED - should they be ENABLED? :unsure:

If I remember correctly, they were DISABLED in the classic Nordock too ... :unsure:

#192168 Problem with PRC

Greeting!

Again we have a small porblem :whistling:

Everything but the character generation @ PRC works very fine!

Our players join the server and create their character - no problem so far.

Then they enter the Gateway and the PRC-CharGen-Dialogue pops up.

After choosing the skills (3rd or 4th dialogue), nothing happens for about 10 minutes.

Suddenly ALL players are dropped from the server: Time Out (but NO server crash) and the new character isnīt completly generated, the dialogue starts again on the next visit.

Does somebody have a hint or a solution for this problem? I couldnīt find an error-message in the NWN-logs nor in the SQL-Logs. :crying:

Did you build the databases ahead of time, by making a few characters with the DB Builder version? If not, trying to build these tables with the full mod in swing is peaking out your PC. This will boot everybody, and cause the server to go down sometimes. The convo runs a lot of CPU juice--even with the tables built, and two people aren't supposed to make a PC at once. Primogenitor, the author, is working on an all-SQL version at this time. When he gets it done, i'll include it instead.

But again I have to bother you :o

I made 5 Chars in the DB Builder Mod and reached the last Stage (Ready & Booted & Restart). But when I ReEnter the DB Builder Mod, the Dialogue appears again, saying: it wasnīt finished successfully :wacko:

Is this intended or did I forget something?

I will now relaunch the RealMod (impatient players calling me / Nordock via XFIRE & ICQ :whistling: ) and have a look at the chars :ph34r:

It's an include-style script. That means it doesn't "compile.". You saw the message, right? "Error. 'inc_letoscript' did not compile. ERROR: NO FUNCTION STARTING CONDITIONAL() IN SCRIPT" ---Did you try "Build Module"? Advanced setting, with 'compile' and 'script' boxes only checked? If you didn't, the old script is still being read. Why, because it didn't compile, despite the fact you hit a button that said "Save and Compile". Blame Bioware; the toolset is funny that way. I've observed this phenomenon 101 times, at least.

Yes - it did! Donīt know what Tiggerlicker tried furthermore. But for our Server it worked! And it worked again with Version 6 :rolleyes:

After a lot of work the server itself is running very well & stable  :D

BUT we have one Problem - the players cannot use the special races & classes from the PRC - no window pops up :blush:

I found the following in the "nwnx_leto" @ logs.0:

Go into the script inc_letoscript.nss, and make the necessary adjustments at the very top (you'll see where). You'll be fine then. ;)

Been away from this for a bit...computer crash...other projects....real life  ;)

Anyway my PC lives again and I have just gotten a fresh v11 install up and running.  This is going to sound like an extremely stupid question, but are things like character locations supposed to be written out to the db to survive server restarts?

If I create a character, explore 3 or 4 areas and then logoff, shouldnt my char be in the same spot it was when I left, even after a server shutdown/restart?

Just want to make sure I have this all working right.  What survives a server shutdown and restart?  What does not?

Greetings!

During the same server-session, the chars should get to the leaving-location when re-entering Nordock.

After a server-crash / reboot, our chars all start at the gateway - suspecting we have an error too. :crying:

What do you exactly mean?

You can play in SP if you mean to go alone (e.g. without a gorup). But the MainQuest can only resolved by a group.

But the mod is mainly a MP thing - one hero cannot learn all crafting skills and so he cannot access all the nice weapons etc. :ph34r:

First: NO, I do not have the upcoming Version of Nordock. I tried to set up the previous Version from the Vault. Just wanted to prepare the server with NWNX2 etc. :P

Second: Found a ReadMe / Instructions in the NEW Players-HAK-File from the Vault.

Third: Seems, that I have to wait for the release of the real Mod to get more Infos about Setting Up the Server :whistling:

My guide is updated...hopefully it makes sense.  It is what I did to get the module to work...I don't think I missed any steps :)  I ran through it after I did the final instructions on a clean unit and was able to set up a second server without any problem.

How do I combine these two needed Packages?

Tried the following:
1. Launched NWN-FF
2. NWN-FF launches the Server via NWNX2 (not via NWServer.EXE) - no Prob so far, the Mod is running
3. BUT(!!) NWN-FF doesnīt recognize an active player and any Mod-Activity. So the Mod is restarted after 10 minutes (as statet in the INI-File)

Where is the error?

I've been working on a basic install walkthrough for NWN 1.65 server + MySQL + NWN-FF (using PR-Nordock as my model until I get my hands on the new release :D then I'll add in the appropriate parts relevent to the new module) that hopefully I'll have in a usable form for other server admins to use for their setups.  No use for all of us to reinvent the wheel and have to figure this stuff out on our own when people have already done it before :D

One of our wizards has a problem with this spell:

Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion
You conjure up an extradimensional dwelling that has a single entrance where the spell was cast. The entrance transports you and your entire party to the extradimensional dwelling, those not in your party may not enter. The dwelling and clean and well lit, and provides a place of rest. Whenever anyone leaves the dwelling you are all transported back to the spot where the door was cast. The dwelling lasts until it is used, the door disappears when you exit the dwelling.


The mentioned transport is not working - the wizard and his companions are caught in the extradimensional dwelling, because of the missing exit. :ph34r:

Does somebody have a solution @ the mod or do i have to ask the creators of the PRC?
