if i install TS BEFORE CtB, WeiDU installer for CtB crashes itself while the installation

Same for me. If I don't install Ctb right away by pressing no the first time installation is correct.
With following exceptions: error loading GUI (of TS I presume) and something about true dispelling in IDS.

except there's a little problem , no ? ->

*********************************************
** CtB-TDD Compatibility Fix
*********************************************
Plz install this Fix if you already have TDD-WeiDU v1.05 installed but BEFORE CtB-WeiDU v1.6.
====================================

unless u don't need it for a fresh installation if u install CtB first (or at least before TDD) ?

althought

if the fix is absolutly required :
any order with TS in the last of the chain, till TDD is before CtB-TDD Fix & furthermore CtB
those orders works without any problem (i sucessfully installed in this order = SoS > TDD > CtB-TDD Fix > CtB > TS)

there's still the pb with TS-SPL.Biff which have 0 spell in it....and 20 bytes length (well if it's really a pb)

Aswell i have a little problem with the fixes :
i modified all TP2 mod files before the installation (only TS, SoS and TDD, already inclued in CtB tp2 and didn't touch the CtB-TDD fix) for including the "SoA/ToB" lines code for the GUI Switcher (all looks fine, SoA / ToB appears in the menu, i can uninstall the gui or choose another one), but when i run the first fix this one reinstall the last GUI mod which was installed and so on the others uninstall , and reinstall this gui each times :

ie : TS is the last mod installed, i desactivate the GUI for the original one (for installing xtra mods), but once i run a fix this one reinstall the TS Gui; and others ones unistall / reinstall it, is there a way to prevent this ? or it's normal ?

What is a problem for you there?

7) Deactivate (uninstall) GUI-switcher - choose "Original SoA/ToB" item.
8) Install ANY other mods you want here (hope they're truly WeiDU and don't ruin anything)
9) Worldmap v4
10) Fixes for SoS, TDD, TS-BP

Fixes should go at the very last stage. And who cares about what do they do at that point - nothing extra will be uninstalled/reinstalled at that time.

It's 20 :D
Guys, and what about the idea for each mod of biffing only its own data, not everything in override folder?

WOW, 20

I had 1 or 0 when I did it as KD suggested. That sounds like a good idea.

ah, k , i see KD for the fixes, the only difference is the last GUI mod is reinstalled everytimes , otherwise the fixes works properly (since they are in the end of the install)

The idea to installl CtB first sound a good idea but

is the fix (CtB-TDD fix) is required if u install CtB first, as i undestand it's only required if u have TDD installed before right ?
(u can't install the fix if CtB is the first mod :P )

OK guys, I have spent the entire day at work (10hours) installing and restoring. Every possible combination of TDD, SOS, Ctb, and TS all end in the same results. Save yourself some time and wait for KD to come up with a fix or an answer to what we gotta do to achieve results. If KD cant do it nobody can.

Why is TDD patch required when installing CtB first? ;)

i didn't say it was :) , i asked if it is necessary in this case of installation
CtB first and TDD later in the installation.

like u did, to be clear

erm , what do the fix exactly ?, i can see it's related to some spells

It only fixes SPELL.IDS. CtB installation already does the thing.

umm KD i should desactivate the setup-gui for the ctb fixie 1 ? (there's no entries about the menu switcher in the fix)

bz that's i did , and kashiko started to banter (well non-audio dialog) with something relative to SoS

I SWEAR i followed the install procedure :Poke:

now i took an old save game (desactivated the menu > uninstalled the fix > reactivated the menu > and installed the fix again) another problem arose :
when there's a dialog between Kashiko & Yoshimo that's not the right music theme which is played (looks like a battle music theme, never heard b4, probably from CtB) although couldn't reproduce the issue with the dialog about SoS

my Weidu log :

I wonder why do ppl start to invent something all the time? :P
GUI setup entry...uninstall...install... Just run fix'es setup - that's all that is really necessary.

And it's absolutely impossible that CtB fix #1 could affect Kachiko or some music(!!) theme.

If you're experiencing some problems - uninstall the fix and continue your journey. That's all that I can recommend....

oh well , tht doesn't change anything
i made a clean install (including ctb fixy 1).
i came to the conclusion , there is at least one music theme which change , but it's seems that depends where u are / or it's random. (it's probably due to CtB, btw not a big issue, and it's maybe a feature :P)
and it affects Yoshimo for the " randomn " dialog aswell (well so far i encounter this pb only in area 0404 so far :P - The Test Area (stairs need fixie :) ))
i believe those dialogs are trigerred when one of them is badly injured or dead. (can't reproduce it when i try to kill him / her)

So this isn't the fix... (forget my last line of my previous post)

As far as nobody else experience such a problem I'm afraid you are on your own there.
Try different mods installation order or make another clean install....

well i have solved it seems weidu.log adding an extra line to the weidu.log after each installation like this

// Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods
// The top of the file is the 'oldest' mod
// ~TP2_File~ #language_number #component_number // Component Name
~SETUP-TDD.TP2~ #0 #0 // The Darkest Day, v105 WeiDU
~SETUP-SOS.TP2~ #0 #0 // Shadows Over Soubar, v105 WeiDU
~SETUP-~2.TP2~ #0 #0 // "Shadows Over Soubar"

what is

~SETUP-~2.TP2~ #0 #0 // "Shadows Over Soubar"

here and when you try the next installation it is screwing.

And so sry if it is a dump question but what is this gui thing?
