Imho, black clothes don't stand out very well on that kind of background, it could look weird when resized to be the smaller portrait. You could solve this by increasing the saturation of the background or adding some colored light (blue?) on the man's shoulders.

I loved that dwarf edit when I saw it waaay back and I still love it! That must have been a difficult portrait to composite! Also, I like the man without glasses, though I agree with Epanitras about his clothing change, perhaps a recoloring would have been more suitable? Nice work regardless!

I've actually tested the latest portrait in 110x170 and 38x60 (the BG/IWD sizes) and it looks okay to me when Unsharp Mask is applied at 30% with 1,5 pixel radius (threshold level 0).

Feel free to test it yourselves though, and point out anything that catches your eye in the smaller versions... obviously you'd have to apply the Unsharp Mask first to get the same accuracy I had. For the record, I use PS.

Your work is amazing, I would like to fangirl drool over them if that makes any sense >.> I would ask you to edit a picture I use for bg2. Its one of my many download pictures I downloaded cause black people are uncommon in Amn except....Valygar for some reason.

Nice edits Archmage Silver! These changes seems very natural and I like that. I mean they don't overkill the old ones but giving them some nice alternate ones. Pale master is my fav from those two and I like the new backgrounds too!

Yes, and the background is from the art material I extracted and converted into BMP from Icewind Dale II (in this case it's Fell Wood).
