Zhurlong is the halfling in the Burning Wizard tavern in Beregost who asks you to retrieve his boots of stealth. He does, however, pickpocket gold from you each time you talk to him, but returns the gold if you return the boots to him. Interestingly, you can kill him afterwards with no consequences and retrieve the boots from his corpse. I thought this was a little odd, but perhaps it is intentional since he *did* steal from you. I did want to point it out in case it was an oversight of some kind. I don't recall being able to do this in vanilla BG1.

That's the same in the vanilla game.

Maybe so, but don't kill him if your have Vault installed or you'll break one of the main quests.

It is like the Marl exploit, which is much the same.

Just FYI, Marl exploit is closed in Easytutu.

And BGT fixes it. The Zhurlong exploit will be closed. Thanks.

That's my view. I always waste him and have no qualms about lifting his corpse dry. He got what was coming to him, the thieving git. So I don't even really consider this an exploit - I'm pretty sure it's intentional.
