:doh: I should've known :P But forcing people to login to download seems ... not-so-cool :D

I agree on the Mod ressurections though :new_thumbs:

But, some of those kits are already implemented in some mods:
  • Sorcerer's Place Collections has those kits by Drizzt1180 (sylvan Mystic etc)
  • Improved Anvil has the Auramaster Druid (but I think it needs the core IA to be installed)
PS: Druidic Sorcerer seems to be already "resurrected" :P

And thanks to Jarno Mikkola again, for it was his idea that spawned this list. And for confirming (at least in theory) that scripted kits may indeed work with the BWP.

Ougrh, Fracg. Erm, that was in theory, now that I see the light at the end of the tunnel, I can conform that indeed we are crashing into the wall. <_< The Reaver kit for example can't be attained, cause the requirements can never be true because of the Refinements mod, except if we adjust the .baf/.bcs file, or the mod is updated, hopefully that will be soon.

Of course I already made the go around this, which is to remove the class requirements from the Z#RvConv.baf, and then install the mod. Or Actually I used Near Infinity.
All this cause I wanted to make Imoen a Reaver with Level 1 NPCs, is that too much to ask? Apparently, obviously YES.
The Geomatic Sorcerer has problems on successfully running the change script, a Save the game and Loading it might be required after reading the book. I also haven't tried to gain any of the Hidden Kits, but I am sure I'll run into one or more problems in the way there still... ;)

But how do you propose to organize them?? Do you mean like:

Right now, it's arranged like:

Currently, I'm waiting for the Death Knight to get finished. The WereWarrior, and the Holy Strategist of the Red Knight (in the to-be-released Divine Remix) are also included. Any other kits you know?? ;)

(PS: I'm wary of including revisions of vanilla kits like the oh-so-cool Skald revision and the Assassin/Bounty Hunter revision by RR. So, please. no revisions :P)

Woah! I almost forgot about this :doh: (and it's even in my own sig <_<) Man, I was gonna update a while ago, but completely handsful now :crying: The new year's gonna see a new version :P

Ok, back to beeswax, I was wondering about this line in the BWP Guide:

With SOS a kit fence is added. Do not click this one, it is not playable and causes a crash to desktop

Shouldn''t that be fixable by changing the line in Setup-SoS.tp2:

~ K_T_D K_T_E K_T_G K_T_H K_T_HE K_T_HL K_T_HO ~

to

so that it doesn't get shown on the Kit Selection screen in the first place :D

We already fix this with the BW Fixpack, but the info about it is important, so we have it still mentioned in the guide. ;)

I'll use the list you gave for the next update (most of them are already in, but some in the "only-kit" section aren't :P) Oh, and ... umm, I'm a wee bit wary of non-english-only kits too btw :unsure: (maybe I could translate the mods themselves while I'm at it :lol:)

And, umm, since the NPC Kitpack and Totemic Cernd kits aren't actually playable by the user, I probably won't include them too (or am I blatantly wrong?? :blink: ... again :P)

Very useful list, this. Thank you for compiling it Lollorian.

However, I must say after going through both lists that the vast majority of people who've made kits obviously have no sense of balance whatsoever. A kit should't make other kits obsolete, is a pretty good rule of thumb. ;)

The ones I find to be well-designed are the ones from Song and Silence, Sword and Fist, and Divine Remix, mainly. And a few others perhaps. There seems to be an awful shortage of good Fighter kits though. That's mainly what I wish there was more of.

I'm considering including the Shieldbearer from Six's Kitpack in my installation, but I can't decide if it's overpowered or not...what do you all think? Any other good Fighter kits out there?

But I thought I'd mention that Leomar has graciously uploaded a new (combined) version of the KitLisr in the BWP downloads section :) So, resumable downloads FTW!!! :D

The update contains nothing much (other than the merging of the original BWP Kitlist and the KitlistX) and the new Switching Kits by Iroumen :) (and the complementary typo-bashin)

I just looked in your great huge kit manual and noticed that there is no category for mage kits. There are no installable mage kits?

No, not really. And the reason is that as the official kits come from the specialist classes, the game doesn't have the files in it to be viewable even with NearInfinity. Of course there is one way to change the default mage kits, and it's done like this and then mocking the item usability flags, but that's a hard way to go around the problem too. It's easier to make a Fighter class and then reclass the fighter to a mage, like you can read from the thread in the link.

But that's a fighter kit. :P

Ah too bad there are no new mage kits :( . It's one of my favorite classes, I would have liked some new flavors of it. Oh, well, maybe when/if TobEx will be integrated in BWP some modders will create new mage kits.. I would love a mage with some combat abilities natively, not dual or multi, that would be awesome :devil:

Mage kits aren't exactly ordered in the standard kit 2DA format :P (the stuff like K_F(ighter)_H(alf)O(rc) etc ... there's no K_M(age)_H(uman) or anything :()

And anyway, yeah, the current mage kits are just variants of one kit (double special spells and no opposing spells) so if someone comes along with some kinda menu system thingy ... ;) Ya know, click Mage->Specialist->Invoker (instead of Mage->Invoker)

And on final note ... you say ya want a Mage with fighter qualities :) Why not try a fighter with mage specialization?? ;)
