I've made an attempt to make PS:T Unfinished Business available for Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition.
The mod is based on Qwinn's PS:T Unfinished Business version 4.12. It contains everything from the original, but has been greatly overhauled to take advantage of modern WeiDU code features, and I fixed a few minor issues present in the original mod. It is currently available as beta.
There are several lines and a readme in need of translation into the following languages: French, Italian, Polish, Russian and Spanish.
Please shoot me a PM (either here or over at Beamdog Forums) or post in this topic if you're interested.
Of course, more translations are always welcome! PST:EE is also available in Korean and, currently Steam-only, Czech. From Qwinn's original PST-UB Readme: This WeiDU mod takes the almost-but-not-quite-finished content that shipped with Black Isle's classic Planescape: Torment CRPG, and finishes and polishes it so you can actually see and enjoy the new content in your game. And as you shall soon see, there's quite a bit of it. Version 4.0 of this mod comes with no less than 18 full and non-trivial restorations.
Important: The current patch version of PST:EE (v3.1.3) contains a bug that resets content, such as stores or areas, when you enter the Modron Maze. To work around this issue, it is strongly recommended to download and install Generalized Biffing as the final mod in the mod list.
Note: The mod requires at least WeiDU v243 to be installed correctly. The Windows executable is already included in the mod's zip archive. Linux and macOS binaries can be downloaded here.
Available components:
Spoiler
1. "All Recommended PS:T Unfinished Business Components" A convenience option that installs all components except "Expanded Deionarra's Truth Mod" and "Restored Item Cheats (Not Recommended)"
2. "Restored Able Ponder-Thought Research" Completes a number of subjects Able Ponder-Thought will conduct research on.
3. "Restored More Morte Mortuary Moments" Restores a bit of dialog for Morte in the Mortuary, including a more detailed introduction dialog.
4. "Restored Candlestick Quest" Restores a quest in the Buried Village.
5. "Restored Deionarra's Truth Conversations" Restores several dialog options regarding Deionarra's fate which are in line with what the player can know at that point in the game. A more complete expansion can be installed by the component "Expanded Deionarra's Truth Mod" below.
6. "Restored Pendant of Yemeth Quest" Restores a quest involving six actors over two different areas, mostly in or near the Smoldering Corpse Bar. To start it, talk to Ratbone in Ragpicker's Square.
7. "Restored Elyce & Company Quest" Restores Elyce, her brother and her boyfriend to the game, and there is a small quest involved.
8. "Restored Curst Citizens" Restores seven cool new Curst Citizens with interesting dialogs.
9. "Restored Curst Prisoners" Adds 9 more prisoners with their own dialogs to the (originally very sparsely populated) Curst prison.
10. "Restored Carl Parfidor" In the original game, you can hire someone to kill Carl Parfidor, but you can never actually meet him. Now you can!
11. "Restored Alley of Dangerous Angles Thugs" Restores some dialogs and scripts, so that the thugs in the Alley are actually aware of events unfolding around them.
12. "Restored Morte & Ingress's Teeth Banter" Restores a very amusing (non-voiced) banter between yourself, Morte and Ingress's Teeth. Before Morte can use the teeth, you will need to use them with Morte nearby.
13. "Restored Items" Restores the Fiend's Teeth, Spiked Gauntlets, Gauntlets of Rending, the Eye of Vecna, Devil's Due and the Chaos Feather.
14. "Restored Party Comments and Banters" Restores 27 fully voiced flirts between Morte and female zombies, 15 new and entertaining fully voiced banters between various PC's, a new comment by Grace, a new soundtrack for the Smoldering Corpse Bar, and talking with your party members will now play that character's theme music, including a new track for Morte.
15. "Restored Mebbeth" Restores two significant orphaned blocks of Mebbeth's dialog.
16. "Restored Lower Ward Encounters" Restores 9 creatures to the main Lower Ward area, 6 creatures around Deran, the slave auctioneer and two characters near where Lenny hangs out.
17. "Restored Bestiary Entries" Restores descriptions for a number of bestiary entries. It also adds a new alu-fiend entry for Vrischika, that has been improved to match the other bestiary images. Finally, the bestiary image of the TO will change from a shadowy figure to a glowing version at a point in the plot.
18. "Restored Lothar's Abode" Restores guard creatures and minor treasure to Lothar's abode in the Lower Ward, that are found nowhere else in the game.
19. "Expanded Deionarra's Truth Mod" Adds a great deal of new content (including 180 new lines of dialogue) that will allow the player to find out her fate before it becomes too late to do anything about it. Once the new content has been played, about 30-40 more lines of original dialogue will become accessible.
20. "Restored Item Cheats (Not Recommended)" Makes two cheat items available to the player and restores their functions: the "Sword of Wh'ynn" - aka "The Cheater's Blade", and "The Tome o' Cheats".
List of fixes and features:
Made content from Qwinn's PS:T Unfinished Business v4.12 available for PST:EE.
Cleaned up and modernized WeiDU code of the mod.
Added new component "Restored Lothar's Abode": It restores unused game resources to add guard creatures and some minor treasure to Lothar's home in the Lower Ward.
Yemeth quest: Updated dialogs of the two fiends Aethelgrin and Tegar'in in SCB, so that you can only return the pendant when you made a deal with the fiends before (related to this issue).
Yemeth Quest: Fixed Ratbone not always taking the right amount of rat tails.
Candlestick Quest: Resolved a potential dead end if you lost the key for the tomb portal.
Candlestick Quest: Replaced ghoul in tomb area by a more appropriate creature.
Candlestick Quest: Renamed tomb area to "Crypt".
Elyce & Company Quest: Elyce should not move too far away from brother or lover when trying to get TNO's attention.
More Morte Mortuary Moments: Turned into two subcomponents: Install "Everything" or "Comments only". The latter option is included in "All Recommended PS:T Unfinished Business Components".
Restored Bestiary Entries: Ported bestiary alu-fiend image intended for Vrischika over to PST:EE.
Restored Party Comments and Banters: Restored a generic acoustic feedback when copying spells to the spellbook in PST:EE.
Worked around a game bug regarding area soundtracks that are played back too fast if they use different sample rates. (Fixes Smoldering Corpse Bar night soundtrack from "Restored Party Comments and Banters".)
Expanded Deionarra's Truth: Fixed a container polygon in the Festhall Private Quarters that overlapped the blocking door polygon. It allowed the player to access the content prematurely, in both PST and PST:EE.
Fixed spellings in the French translation (thanks mirandir).
Several more minor fixes and improvements.

1st i wanna thank you for continuing the work of Qwinn/Scient, it's a relief to see this getting worked on and it's even better you hosted it on github, i have questions about the mod/other stuff:
1 - Do you intend to fix the pendant of yemeth quest? Several ppl here reported problems with it. You'll find reports about the other restored things having problems here too.
2 - Why report only on beamdog's forum? I mean, their site(s) is/are a nightmare to ppl with bandwith caps with their huge size for sites/images (see the pics of neverwinter enhanced edition, more than 6 MB for a pic?? Whatta hell....
3 - Do you intend to upgrade the fixpack and tweaks patches too?
Changelog: - Yemeth Quest: Updated dialogs of the two fiends Aethelgrin and Tegar'in in SCB, so that you can (hopefully) only return the pendant when you made a deal with the fiends before (related to this issue).
Feel free to report more issues that should be fixed.
2. You can report anything here in this thread as well. My primary goal is to make P:ST UB compatible with PST:EE though, that's why creating a topic on Beamdog Forums first was the logical choice. PS:T UB - Reloaded is a continuation in the spirit of the original (hence the different name), at the request of Qwinn, who may decide to continue working on his own mods in the future.
3. No. Both Fixpack and Tweaks are still working fine in classic PST. The Fixpack is, in large part, integrated into the base PST:EE game already. Some features of PS:T Tweaks are already made available to PST:EE by other mods.

2 - i understand now, good idea about beamdog's forum btw, reloaded will be version 1.0 or will you continue the numbering from where it stopped?
3 - i see. i asked about the fixpack/tweaks because of the fixes that avellone made for ps:t that arent in qwinn's fixpack and stuff (like fixing the descriptions to match the pen&paper ones), also, iirc, qwinn said that are zombies to restore at the mortuary many years ago in one post in the forum, i dont remember where, maybe it was in this section.

Yes, first stable release will be version 1.0. Aside from porting the mod to PST:EE, it will also contain a number of fixes for (yet to be) reported bugs. For example, next beta (no release date yet) will fix a dead end of the Candlestick quest in case you lose the "key" for activating the portal from the tomb back to the village.

I was thinking about registering for some time and this release which i saw first on teambg.org surely helped me to do so, congratulations for the release and for the new restored content "Lothar's Abode", i have a few things to ask/suggest:
1 - If it wouldnt be annoying to you could you please use LZMA2, ultra compression and a stable 7zip release to compress your future releases? It's better for compression than winzip and good for poor ppl with dialup like me. :/
2 - Since you restored Lothar's Above it came to my mind there might be more places/things to restore, is there a TODO list with these things? Will you intend to do one in the future?
3 - Turned "Restored More Morte Mortuary Moments" into two subcomponents: Install "Everything" or "Comments only" - I dont understand the point of this, why not install everything at once since we want everything that was left out?
Thank you. The "Restored Lothar's Abode" was mainly inspired by a design paper for original PS:T. Fortunately the game still included the required resources, so that they could be restored by the mod.
1) I can do that. Zip was mainly chosen for convenience and compatibility.
2) There are more bits and pieces of unused resources. However, it's mostly minor stuff, such as unused spell scrolls and items. There is also an empty Curst-style interior map. I don't know yet if or how they could be incorporated into the mod.
3) Several players over at Beamdog Forums suggested that Morte's introductory conversation was not appropriate. It addressed too many topics that were not yet needed at that point of the game and were repeated in almost the same manner later on. The "Comments only" option doesn't restore this extended conversation and leaves only Morte's comments in the Mortuary, e.g. when approaching Dhaal's book.

Good to know.

I see, thank you in advance.

I hope they will and i hope you can get help to do this, btw, i remember a post from Qwinn years ago where he said there were 2 zombies from mortuary that could be restored, who knows what small/big things are still waiting to be restored?

I get it now, good point, i didnt know about this before.

I'll continue using zip as the mod's archive format. 7-zip would only reduce archive size by about 500kb (or 3 percent). The mod contains several big files that are difficult to compress.

I see, i made a test here and i also got 500 KB less than before... :/
Anyway, i made a translation to brazilian portuguese and i wanted to know if you test the translations before submitting them, i'm curious because i dont have planescape installed to test and i'm afraid if a mix of accents and letters like "á, ê, õ or ç" would be displayed correctly in the mod.
Thank you for the translation. From what I've seen the files appear to be correctly encoded, and a quick test installation in both PST and PSTEE worked fine. It'll be included in the next release.

Btw, i hope your mod will replace this since your mod is more updated http://www.spellhold...s.net/ie/pst-ub since you got Qwinn's approval it shouldnt be a problem, i hope Kaeloree or somebody else will allow it.
I'm curious about some things: did you ask Cilantro, Skardavnelnate, Scient or any other person who worked on UB before (except Qwinn) to be a part of this? In case you did, what did they say?
Do you have the design docs for PS:T? In case you dont, did you ask the beamdog's devs if they'd release info about everything who hasnt been restored?
As mentioned in an earlier post, Qwinn has given permission to anyone willing to make PST-UB available for PSTEE, as long as everyone involved is properly credited. Since Qwinn had already permission from everyone else involved, it made little sense to find and ask them again. After over a decade there is little hope to find them anyway.
Regarding design docs, there is some information in the original PST-UB Readme, and some more can be found online. But I haven't really looked for them, as my primary goal was to port PST-UB to PST:EE and fix remaining bugs on the way. Even the new component "Restored Lothar's Abode" was not planned at all. I decided to come up with it after finding some hints and resources for the golems and their intended use.
