Our next quiz topic is religions, and we'll start with a question on BG2-SoA.

What deities can you find temples or shrines for without leaving Athkatla, as presented in BG2-SoA? What other deities can you encounter clerics of?

What deities can you find temples or shrines for without leaving Athkatla, as presented in BG2-SoA? What other deities can you encounter clerics of?

Lathander
Helm
Talos
Oghma
Ilmater
Waukeen
Mask
Amaunator
Torm (if you count the Radiant Heart building)
Lliira (if you count the Waukeen temple as being hers-Waukeen is MIA as of BG2)
Ilsensine (if you count the hidden Ilithid base)

Clerics (assuming you're counting only Athkatla):

Cyric
The Great Mother (those clerics in the Unseeing Eye den were getting their spells from *something*)
Shar (Viconia)
Silvanus (Jaheira)
Baervan Wildwanderer (Aerie)
Just about anything (Charname)

Lathander
Helm
Talos
Ilmater
Oghma
Amaunator
Waukeen
Mystra? (In the Harper Hold there is a statue to Mystra and her symbol is on the floor. There is a small alter in one of the four off rooms(or a table...))

Silvanus (Well Druid...)
Shar
Baervan Wildwanderer
Cyric
Torm (Prelate Wessalen is a Fighter/Cleric and from his dialog he worships Torm primarily.)
Unseeing Eye? (Gaal is a Cleric/Mage)

Does the second question extend out of Athkatla? If so
Talona (Trademeet Cleric)
Lolth (Drow)
Rillifane Rallathil (Demin)
"She could resist temptation. Really she could. Sometimes. At least when it wasn't tempting." - Calli Slythistle
"She was a fire, and I had no doubt that she had already done her share of burning." - Lord Firael Algathrin

Taking only temples with Athkatla:

Ilmater - Waukeen's Promenade & Slums District (one transformed to Cyric with Kido :P)
Lathander - Temple District
Helm - Temple District & Bridge District
Talos - Temple District
Oghma - Docks District
Amaunator - Below temple Disticts

Shrines within Athkatla:

Waukeen - To be honest can't remember but I am sure not only Trademeet has a shrine, but can't remember quite where
Mystra - At the Harpers

Deities through clerics within BG2

* Silvanus - Jaheira & druids in the grove (okay druids but come on... :P)
* Shar - Viconia
* Baervan Wildwanderer - Aerie & Quayle
* Cyric - Several ones, Docks district twice & in Forest after Underdark
* Torm - Prelate
* Talona - Trademeet
* Lolth - Drow
* Ghaunaduar - Also Ust Nastha
(haven't checked via NI if that is a cleric or not but does cast spells for the lord of slime, and another is mentioned but that is just a normale male drow I think)
* Rillifane Rallathil - Elf in Suldenesselar
* Liira - Trademeet
* Mask - (that requires Tactics though I believe)

Still modding the Mod for the Wicked... It is a big project you know... And I got sidetracked (several times) a bit... sorry.

Most Forgotten Realms gods have a holy symbol that their followers use, which is often employed in decoration of their temples. Which deities use the following symbols?

A shining featureless disk of silver

Three lightening bolts, eachof a separate colour, radiating from a central point

An oak tree in summer

A simple blank scroll edited for a typo; that'll teach not to read what I write

A black nine-stranded whip, the ends bloody and barbed

A cresting wave or drop of water

A white skull (sans jawbone) on a dark purple or black starburst

Answers:

Temples or Shrines in Athkatla:

Lathander - Temple District
Talos - Temple District
Helm - Temple District & Bridge District
Ilmater - Waukeen's Promenade & Slums District
Oghma - Docks District
Amaunator - Below temple Disticts
Waukeen - Government District
Mystra - Inside the Harper Hold

Others with priests, and I should have been clear I meant only in Athkatla:

Cyric - several, mostly in the Docks District
Silvanus - Jaheira
Baervan - Aerie
Torm - Prelate of the Radiant Heart
Shar - Viconia
Beshaba - the people burning Viconia.

Wow no one even thought of Beshaba. That is sad

A shining featureless disk of silver
Tymora (previously, though now it represents her face surrounded by shamrocks)

Three lightening bolts, eachof a separate colour, radiating from a central point
Talos

An oak tree in summer
Sylvanus(In previous times, though Rillifane Rallathil currently boasts an oak tree as his symbol, though not specifically in summer)

A simple black scroll
Oghma

A black nine-stranded whip, the ends bloody and barbed
Loviatar

A cresting wave or drop of water
Istishia (Thought Umberless at first)

A white skull (sans jawbone) on a dark purple or black starburst
Cyric

yep, we all forgot Beshaba. How very bad...
Using FRCS book as my guide:

A shining featureless disk of silver - *gamble* Tymora (she is the only one with a silver coin... but it should have her portait according to the FRCS book)

Three lightening bolts, eachof a separate colour, radiating from a central point - Talos (P.s. they are striking a the same point not radiating outwards as the symbol is described)

An oak tree in summer - Rillfane (as Silvanus has a leaf, though I can remember him being called the Oak father)

A simple black scroll - Oghma (assuming you mean a blank scroll not a black scroll, but I can not find more fitting)

A black nine-stranded whip, the ends bloody and barbed - Loviatar (though it is said to be a scourge, but I assume you mean this one.)

A cresting wave or drop of water - Istishia (though I only have cresting wave for her according to FRCS book... jeez I complaining/correcting (depending if you are fed up with it) a lot <_<)

A white skull (sans jawbone) on a dark purple or black starburst - Cyric

Forgotten Realms deities have a range of portfolios that reflect the things they take most interest in and have most control over. Mask, for example, has thieves, thievery and shadows. While some of these portfolios are broad - Justice for Tyr, War for Tempus, Love for Sune - others are rather narrower.

Which gods have the following portfolios?

Song

Dance

Misfortune

Caravans

Spring

Summer

Autumn

Winter

I don't think there's a single deity in FR that doesn't have some title that they're known by. Many have more than one. What gods are also known by the following titles?

Father of the Dinosaurs

Foehammer

He Who Watches

The Masked Lord

Master of Stone

The Pitiless One

The Sage at Sunset

The Stormstar

Argh... here I shall loose points. Why? As I know quite a few titles, but neither me or my books lists some of these.

Father of the Dinosaurs - *gamble* Ubtao

Foehammer - Tempus

He Who Watches - Helm
(not sure if this is to be said to be a title, it's used in prays. Other names for him are rather, I believe, 'The Vigilant One' or 'The Watcher')

The Masked Lord - Mask

Master of Stone - *gamble* Morradin

The Pitiless One - *gamble* Garagos (he pities nothing...)

The Sage at Sunset - *gamble* Velsharoon (big doubt here... Sunset = end of life?)

The Stormstar - (naturally Talos comes to mind, but the star part makes me wonder this)

Okay, I loose this round ;)

*steps down and makes place for Kellen and Tempus*

Amaunator

Arvoreen

Clanggedin

Corellon Larethian

Eilistraee

Isis
