So, I've been gearing up to install the latest Big World Install and skimming through the manual it tells me to use 1pp v4...now, the only one I see is 4.10...and the download page tells me it's broken, and as I understand, has been for a while.
So my question would be this: would maybe the latest Big World Fixpack be able to fix this? Or is the only option to omit this mod?

I've seen a lot of (what is in my eyes) technobabbel about adding this or that line, but that's obviously way above me so here I was hoping someone could tell me (in simple language preferably) what the actual status of this mod is...and if it an earlier version of this mod would be compatible with the BIG install.

It's NOT.

Yeah, the page reads that, but it's actually wrong.

 

Of course I am not contending the fact that there is/maybe more than a few compatibility issues that can be solved with install order or other procedures.

I can't seem to find the option not to install additional equipment. I just want the better looks :shifty: . The "scatter equipment" choices apparently only allow you to choose whether you want both styles in one game, but add new and powerful items in any case.

 

I haven't really paid that much attention, but is there any difference between 1ppv4 (default) and BGII-style? I did a quick comparison and the inventory icons for these two options seem to be the same.

Hello ,

I want to state , in IWD 2 , on paperdolls , with a shield+fist combination , shield is not showed ( shield is a generic small shield ). On game screen , small shield is visible with the fist , so OK. Shield+sword shows usual too , etc.

246 post and you couldn't fine one to quote that could clarify the issue just a bit... ahh, k, general advice: Install the game to non-Operation System protected folder, with no harmware guards, remove all options from the archive tool that removes folder structure, and extract the archive to the games root, where there is the "chitin.key" file.

 

Questions, post them and get them answered.

Bug Report: Baldur's Gate, Easy Tutu, Mods, 1PP, Ulcaster Ruins, Icharyd crash

Hi. I'm not sure this is the right place for it, but I've run into a gamebreaking bug while using this mod. When encountering Icharyd at the Ulcaster Ruins the game will crash to the desktop every time.

It seems there is a conflict between one component of 1PP and #400 Core updates and item patches. I can install different combinations just fine, but as soon the #400 Core component is in place the game will crash. Uninstalling that component eliminates the problem.


I've encountered this same bug, however, after installing and testing several different configurations, it seems to be an issue with the Additional Helmet Animations specifically, rather than the #400 Core updates component. I can install virtually anything else associated with Core content, but for whatever reason, when Additional Helmets are implemented, the game crashes to desktop every time Ichyard appears.

Hi Erephine and Co.

 

Really, really cool mod you've worked on here. For the most part it's really cohesive and no component of the mod stands out as garish or out of place so far.

 

I got through the opening dungeon with no problems, paperdoll works fine, animations work great, colours work great...once I emerged however and headed to the local watering hole I found about 70% of NPCs lacked any sort of colour, almost like they were petrified.

So...my mod load order is:

1. BG2 Fixpack

2. Banter Pack

3. Ascension

4. Flirt Pack

5. 1PP

6. BG2 Tweaks

 

All WeiDU mods. Looking at some of the threads over the past year or two I can't see others having this particular problem, and whilst it could theoretically be another mod, this is the only graphical mod I am using. Like I said, everything else is working great. I didn't install anything I shouldn't have...or did I? (I don't think so, only thing/s I didn't install were 'not recommended')

Ah-ha! Looks like the culprit is the Faux Baldur's Gate I style helmet option. The other two options work properly, but there's something about the BG1 helmet animations that Icharyd just doesn't like. Unfortunately, I like the original Helm of Glory design too much to ever change it, so I guess I'll have to continue playing with mismatched helmets for the time being. :P

Thanks, that appears to have been it. I'd saved in the Pavilliion so the f'd up NPCs are still there, but I haven't had any problems in new areas since I uninstalled it.

Really like the various extra flair in this mod. I want to note that a lot of this would seem to conflict with the cosmetic BG2Tweaks:

In particular, the tweak to remove helmet animations does not work on replaced helmets from the mod.

 

Also, the changed GUI is incompatible with the widescreen mod, at least at the 1280x800 rez I play at.

You probably installed the mods in the wrong order. As in BG2, the Widescreen mod needs to be installed after the GUI mods, while in other games the Widescreen mod needs to be installed in the settings the gui mod mentions and then install the GUI mod on top of the already Widescreen moded game. the reason for this is that the Widescreen mod auto extends the existing GUI elements in the BG2, but not in the other games...

Ah, that makes sense. Unfortunately I messed up the order trying to test it out, which looks like it means I get to reinstall the entire game again because the widescreen mod can't recover. A costly learning experience.

Wow, that post went awry with some database error. Anyway, I managed to extricate myself from the widescreen mod error using the backup exe, so I'll just avoid the GUI changes in the future.

This is bad... have you patched the game to the latest official patch ? It's this one. So the game version is v1.42 .

Yep, you need to make a full reinstall, as the mods need to be installed after the last patch is installed first.
