Some of these comments seem to imply that SHS is a democracy: it isn't. Ultimately, Kaeloree owns the spellholdstudios.net domain and he (and I believe SConrad) pay the >$2000 bill every year to "keep the lights on". Aside from the handful of yearly donations toward hosting and bandwidth, that money comes out of their pockets. When it comes down to it, Kaeloree can run (or abandon) Spellhold Studios as he sees fit: nobody can demand he do anything.
With that being said, I agree that the admins/staff at SHS haven't been particularly active in a while. One reason for this is probably that several of them have been working with Beamdog on the EEs. Personally, I would be happy to help with moderation of the IE Modding Tools sub-forum. Archiving all the old topics is a terrible idea IMO, though.

"Ok, I've just about had my FILL of riddle asking, quest assigning, insult throwing, pun hurling, hostage taking, iron mongering, smart-arsed fools, freaks, and felons that continually test my will, mettle, strength, intelligence, and most of all, patience! If you've got a straight answer ANYWHERE in that bent little head of yours, I want to hear it pretty damn quick or I'm going to take a large blunt object roughly the size of Elminster AND his hat, and stuff it lengthwise into a crevice of your being so seldom seen that even the denizens of the nine hells themselves wouldn't touch it with a twenty-foot rusty halberd! Have I MADE myself perfectly CLEAR?!"

Might be better just to wait until the EEs are done before worrying about restructuring/abandoning. If I could find things back in my college dorm room, I'm sure I can find stuff here.
Back to no shits given.
