Crash going into Nashkel (BGT)

Going from the wilderness area north of Nashkel to Nashkel and I get the bogus crash. Assertion Failed on ObjCreature.cpp line number 12381. I'll post my Weidu and Aurora.debug for completeness.

I updated the game files to version 5a before installing and I started a new game after modifying my installs. I believe it's related to Aurora because it's the only mod I can think of that adds a NPC to Nashkel that I have installed. Apologies if it's not the case.

The only other mods I haven't tried before that I've installed are BGSpawns, Turambar, and Prestige Pack (PPK; I think that's what it is).

Tried again with a new character. Used MoveToArea("AR3700") and again get the same error. This was in the baldur.err log:

ObjCreature.cpp
Line: 12381

Exp: creatureSize == 0

Msg: no msg.
Run Debugger?

Please try installing this little mod and check again :)

Did you start a new game after installing Aurora? If not, that's a sure-fire way to cause crashes (as described in the readme, areas are stored in save games).

If that's not the issue then you should use the Area CRE Checker on that area to narrow down which CRE is potentially causing issues and post the results.

Lollorian's suggestion worked. And I did start a new game after editing the my modlist. Thanks for the help. :)

Odd, but glad cre-fixer worked - it is usually standard per BWP methodology. It might be useful to post your cre-fixer log file (from the mod's folder) as text here - it might help others to see which mod .cre might have been messed up.

It seems Karaea from Aurora 5a is cause for CTD. Which is nice. You install newest Aurora, you get CTD in Goblin cave. If you try workaround with old v5 with patch 5a you get Nashkel crash. Ah, but who cares... Authors certainly not.

All bug reports are appreciated and will be added to the master list of issues to be resolved.  However, no animation related bug or crash will be fixed (by me anyway) until the new version of Infinity Animations (that is also EE compatible) is released.  I'm not interested in reinventing the wheel twice...  I hear there may be a beta version of IA available within the next few weeks.

If IA isn't already installed, Aurora installs a subset of IA including EXE patches, IDS patches, relevant animation files, etc.  That is the only way to get the new animations in the game.  It looks like the IA core mod was last updated 12 May 2010 and the core Aurora mod was last updated 08 Feb 2010.  I don't know if installing IA before Aurora will help with animation issues on BGT/TuTu, but it might.  I suspect that's how most people install it, but that's not based on any real statistics or anything.
